New Equipment...

Ok, just spent a good deal of money - but I just got a lot of new gear. Most of it for our Gladiator show were planning on doing at this Italian restaurant that a friend owns...

I got a Murmillo and a Corinthian helmet - alongside my old hoplite one. I also had a new spear, mace, and incredible shield come in.

My combat ready arsenal now includes:
3 helmets ( Roman era )
2 helmet ( medieval and arabic )
1 spear
2 hoplite swords
2 sickles
1 schiavona
1 sabre
1 shield



this is aside from our groups basic arsenal of three dozen broadswords and rapiers, along with some personals including sabres, axes, cutlasses, and a giant maul my friend calls Brunhilda...

We're planning on getting even more equipment, but these are some of our new items

Still a long ways off - this Sunday is Easter so practice is not too serious and short. Next Sunday is auditions for the main fighters.
We've cut it to only 4 fighters and one announcer, and will go kinda like this...

Announcer will be the normal cheeky, flamboyant, and kinda gay sort - and introduce fighters. One on One, the winners will fight each other. Simple as that...

The show itself is a gladiator show - kinda short this time, and will serve as a practice for this new concept, as we've never done one of these before.


We have lots of expirience in regular show fights in public, but usually for medieval/renn themes - and never for a restaurant...
Also gladiator fights tend to require being longer to be interesting...
Guess we'll see...


And towards Nick - the hoplite swords are my true favorite...
People constantly say I baby them, and over protect them because they are my favorite personals...
I named them Acheron and Styx...
