vB has a function where you can close/stick your own threads. You shouldn't be able to do that with other peoples' threads.

hmmm, i this kinda of problem on other forums, that had color usergroups, it might be that one group allows the member to access the staff CP

but dont worry, i wont even touch anyone's thread, or even go inside the Admin/Mod CP

That IS weird. I'll look into it.

I haven't touched the group permissions in ages though, so its probly one that many people dont use that is doing it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

EDIT: There, it should be fixed now.

You removed it from the mod group too, Lades. gg.

Wha?

All I did was modify the permissions of one usergroup to which only two people were in.

No. Yvl is pretty much right. >.> The mod stuff doesn't appear anywhere.

It doesn't change the fact the only thing I changed was a single usergroup's permission via deleting and recreating the group.

I can still perform mod functions in the Discussion Table. We're in good shape :link

I haven't noticed anything wrong with my Mod tools, with the exception the Bump thingmabob.

What was changed (I believe) is the mod link on the tool bar for everyone disappeared when the usergroup was edited, actual mod tools in the forums people mod still work fine, just the external link for mods to the mod cp was removed with the change. Meaning people would have to know the link to the cp in order to use it.

Except I don't see how changing that one usergroup that only two people (one being leungd) were in would affect the mod CP link for...mods.

I've been planning to look into the weirdness around it for a while now, but let's face it, you mods really don't have anything to do >.>

But let me tell you, you admins break your back every...time you slip and fall on the sidewalk?

Yeah, I could kinda tell you're out for a position of some sort. There isnt much need of new mods (and especially not admins) here right now though, unless they prove themselves to be EXTREMELY competent.

:hmm

How does pointing out that he has authority he shouldn't show that he is here because he desires authority?

Nor do I tbh, but then again it also depend son what you actually edited as you may have also nuked the style link which perhaps are tied into the usergroup code.

Either way yeah it's not like people used it.

I did... back when I first became a mod, but still!

Leugnd, I didnt mean to imply you came here for the sake of gaining a position. I just meant I saw you as being the kind who wanted the power.

All I did was find out which usergroup was giving him access, deleted it, and remade it based off another color group that had the proper permissions. There's really no way it could've affected the mod CP link for mods.

ah no worries, power is over-rated, unless you own a fleet of Blue Eyes White Dragons
