Well, unfortunately I missed part of it..., but still got to see a good portion of the show.

If any of you guys cought this episode, I hear it was very good - and it shows the martial art and group I have been part of for several years now. Ninjutsu through the Bujinkan...

In case you guys saw what I saw...
Let me put these things straight...

Those guys weren't really the top students in our group...
they aren't even the top western students...or amongst the best...( Well, the second is amongst the best..., but defenitely not the first...).

The best students are Japanese and along with the best of the western students, were for the most part not seen from the part of the show I cought...

I do hear that Nagato and more importantly Hatsumi Sensei was shown.

I guess it can't be helped that only a limited version of what we do was shown...
several of our concepts and our real criterea in fighting weren't expressed - instead it seemed more like a contest thing ( since the show is basicly that ).
Unfortunately our group is very much against competitive stuff, so it didn't fit well, and any stuff you guys saw on rules of fighting and rounds and any of that crap was made up for the show...

Still, it was entertaining and I hope to catch the entire thing....

BTW,
did anyone else catch it...

I wish I would have. I've seen 5 or 6 episodes of it and I usually like what I see.

It sucks that they didn't portray it just right... but they have a limited amount of time to film it in and I'm sure they have to check with practitioners to make sure they're available. Maybe some of the top people in it weren't available or didn't want to be on the show.

Nah, their always there - but it doesn't surprise me they didn't do it...
They don't like to perform much for the camera, other than Hatsumi...
The guys that performed were probably the guys that set it up...

I'm surprised our principles weren't explained though - which I believe is what sets us apart from others...
Instead the episode made us look like an interesting but pretty much basic version of kenjutsu wearing black...,
with a couple of fun trciks...but only a couple..

I was watching and I imagined dozens of things extra I would have done...

The clip in the beggining with the guy just wide eyed, that involved the japanese...
that's around what I'm talking about...

I think they've revisited one or two martial arts in the past on that show. Maybe you could start a petition and send it to the network to get them to revisit it because they didn't really capture what it's all about.
