We were wondering what would be a great matchup...
So I figured I'd throw it out there and see if any suggestions seem interesting...
Somethings would include - gladiator, mamluk, greek hoplite, bezerker, celt woad fighter, hun, gaul, samurai ( duelist, traditional, or ninpo ), traditional line men ( european foot soldier ), swiss pikemen, genoan, german landsnecht...
So throw out there any matchups you'd really want to see in a show fight, played by two persons in their traditional dress and armor, and armed with such weapons...
If also, mention new ones not mentioned and what weapons would be interesting to see against each other...

How about something simple, like a traditional Chinese general armed with a kwandao against a traditional Japanese samurai armed with a katana. I dunno. It's not the kind of thing I think about

That's ok - interesting still...
We're just going over it because friends and I are always considering such fights to do recreation of...
Soon we'll be opening our own bussiness along side our organization, and we'd like something we can pesent, or maybe capture for publicity.

Do the Spartans use the Phalanx?

1. Spanish Inquisition isn't a fighting style, force, or anything to do with this...
2. I'm going more for one on one concept anyway...
thanks anyway though...
Anyways, yes - they used the phalanx formation and style - though one wouldn't have guessed it from watching 300 - I have a few problems with the movie,...
And dude - wow, ...lol
Seriously, I've grown up with every type of soldier one can imagine..., every time I hear a marine talk like that, I can't help but roll my eyes...,

Plus, I want to see the Spartan army from the REAL Sparta, not that movie/comic version, take on the fucking Inquisition. What will Poe write about then? IT'S PERFECT!
