Yeah, well it happened. Barry Bonds hit number 756. What are your thoughts on this? There's so much controversy over the whole steroid issue and everything else that's going on. I can't really say that I'm happy, but I don't really despise him.

When I hear of this news I think of just one question. What has he contributed to the game. Homeruns are great, no way in hell I would be knocking them. But homeruns alone do not define the legend or the hero. Homeruns do not always win the game. I hope they burn his ass and pull a 61*(see note) on him. If ever it was deserved it should belong on his record.

I'm not really a hater or anything like that, I just wish that he wasn't such an asshole towards people. He treats his fans like garbage, I mean, a little kid asks for his autograph and he snubbs them and walks on by. He really needs to be more of a role model instead of a jerk.

My fault it just being flat out bitter towards him. Yes he has been MVP and Gold Gloves (up until 98'). But now he he is just the guy who wants to hit them out of the park. And as said above I have heard he is not the most fan friendly.

I do wonder what he plans on doing now. End it this season see how many more he can go and retire?

I think the man hit 756 homers, and the rest is bullshit. You can swear up and down that he uses steroids, but he never got caught doing shit. Regardless of how you feel about him, he deserves this award.

Number 757 has come today. I'm incredibly suprised Bonds was even in the lineup. The Giants season is basically over already, so I figured they'd use Bonds sparingly since he's done what he's been playing to do all year. I think he'll end up with maybe 765 by years' end.

A-Rod'll probably end up beating him a few years down the line anyway. Wish Griffey wouldn't have left the Mariners/had all those injuries...

I heard the shot while driving to my girlfriends, I just had a strange feeling that it was coming. As I have said before, Bonds deserves this recognition and I would like to see him play a couple more years to even extended it and make it into the 800s.
