How do other's religion effect what and how you react with them, and what your impression of them is...
One must be honest - and it's obviously differant with differant religions...
Do you question a Mormon's intelligence, are you wary of a Muslim, do you act more condescending to a catholic/protestant...?
In another light - do you give a religious person more respect, or does it simply tell you what type of person they are...
One's religion doesn't decide what type of person they are -
but one can't ignore how it's part of them...
thus the question....

I don't step up on a soapbox or anything like that. I do take offense to some christians who feel the need to judge me. Muslims don't bother I actually find them fascinating. Catholics annoy me, because they think that they are better than other people's religion or maybe I should be fair about that, maybe its just the fact the my friend is a catholic and is always telling me that the way I believe is wrong and that I should convert.
Going to church used to scare me, because my family's Pentecostal and they dance in the spirit. For some reason it used to scare me. My co-writer and friend has become a minister, he now thinks that he must write christian novels. And has this holier than I attitude towards me. That's about the only time religion bothers me, when its forced on me or I'm made to feel that the way I believe is wrong.

I hate people on an individual basis. Religion doesn't mean shit to me unless someone is trying to force what they think on me as being the only right way.

Agreed.
I am mainly Agnostic, so I don't care what anyone else thinks, but if they push it on me, I will hate them for that.

I'm with Lathan. I like or dislike people based on the person as a whole, and since religion is one thing that makes up the "whole" person, it may or may not be a factor in my personal regard for the person.

Again, I agree with Lath. Religious Intolerance falls in with racism, sexism, ageism, xenophobia, etc, and well, I hate discrimination. People should be judged by who they are, not what they are. Some may argue that religion affects the who, but, really, there are good and bad people, with and without religion.

So...generally what i got from this thread is that you people hate others as a general rule and don't need religion for it...?
That's...kinda inspiring...( thumbs up ).

Religion doesn't have anything to do with what I think of someone.
The only thing with other religions that bothers me...Is how alot of people over here...Feel the need to attack Christian holidays and try and change them.
Even though we never complain about people celebrating whatever they believe in.
You get the odd idiot, but no one's ever tried to ban the celebrating of other religious holidays.
People from other religions, though...Well...Let's just say that Christmas is on it's way to be banned, pretty much.
You can't seem to find religious cards anymore, stamps...Even Christmas lunch is being stopped.
They're even trying to charge people for any decorations on display...But only if you're celebrating Christmas.
I haven't heard much about other holidays yet but there have been complaints.
Our Government...Has no...Back-bone.
I'm not even Christian o.0
But as for people in general, no...People are...Just people.

That really is taking it over the edge -
but it may be a reply to all the bombings in England and GB in the last month...

The bombings?
Nah...That's just people who can't think for themselves.
They hide behind their "god" and do as they please.
Killing innocent people will do nothing but enrage others. And it will be the cause of their downfall.
They go for the innocent people because they are cowards. The fact that it's always "suicide bombings" proves that.
If they had spines, they'd at least live to be punished.
Sorry o.o; It makes me really mad that people can actually be that...Idiotic...Stupid...Path etic? Brain dead >.>; Need I go on?..

The way I see it, I have no beef against Christians, Muslums, Jews, or any religious group in general... I don't like guys like Osama Bin Ladin and Pat Robertson who exploit people's religious beliefs to either trick them into killing people or to make a ton of tax exempt money.
I've known some good Christians, one of my favorite teachers in elementary school was Jewish, and all the Muslums I've met in my stores are always very polite and nice to do business with. But there's always at least a few leaders in any religion who will exploit their followers for their own gain and abuse the power and influence of being a religious leader.
Personally I'm an Atheist. I'm more accurately an agnostic (willing to believe that SOMEthing is up there but that humans will never figure out what) but after seeing how religion is abused I don't want anything to do with it. That and after going to my mother's church and hearing them say 'you can walk into Kmart and unload an Uzi on everyone and if you repent and beg Him for forgiveness you'll go to heaven anyway' some little part of my leftover sanity said 'Wait a second, thats a load of crap!'.
There are good Churches out there, I'm sure of it... but seeing as how I'm in the bible belt and there's about two churches for every three streets I don't have the patience to find one.
So yeah, rant over. Gonna go stabbity things in Azeroth. See ya.

I don't care one way or another, until somebody brings it up. I think if everybody would shut the fuck up then religion would actually make people's lives better.

My view is taking religion with more of an open mind - it would go much farther...
also understanding the principles more...
That's why I hate people who use mis-information, or tailored words - to mislead others to a false understanding...
