Aksys Games announced today that it is prepping Hooked! Real Motion Fishing for exclusive release on the Nintendo Wii. Initially revealed through a GameStop.com product listing (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=23010 7) earlier this week, Hooked! will utilize both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to simulate realistic fishing motions with the included attachment shown to the right.
Even more compelling than the prospect of a large fishing pole attachment is the confirmation that Hooked! will feature Wi-Fi play, as no North American Wii release to date has featured support for online competition (Pokemon Battle Revolution (http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3151288) will be the first when it ships next week). Six lakes can be explored in the game, including a man-made reservoir and a meteorite crater, while the single-player game will encompass a trio of modes (Tournament, Practice, and Time Attack).
GameStop is reporting an early September release for the bundle, which is expected to retail for $59.99, but the game alone will only cost $39.99.
