The head of the LucasArts, the game division for “Star Wars” series creator George Lucas, told AFP a Wii game that lets players wield virtual light sabers is on the horizon.

First, let’s hope this tidbit is actually true. Second, if it is, let’s hope that it is related to game separate from Lego Star Wars!

ummm I don't see how you'd do a dual blade as the nunchuck is kinda not suited and the dual blade would need a longer wiimote for the whole spinny thing.

Unless you just cant spin the lightsaber in which case bad form BAD FUCKING FORM!

Sounds really cool since I've been a star wars fan for so long..., but the mechanics will probably not be too good...
I just have a feeling that it will rather just be a game with you running around and cutting droids in half...( IE boring ),
or if it does include fighting someone else - the mechanics of if will be muddled and weird, and not work right...

As far as games have gone - we've mostly made our progress in graphics and not game play..., so I'm a bit skeptic even if this goes through...

Anyway - not much for me, I fight with swords every week so I doubt I'll be missing much...
One day though, I bet something like this will come out that's really cool...
