hey guys. i just got ff x-2 awhile ago and i must say it has me torn between two extremities, part love part hate. what i like is its not as linear as x. i also enjoy how its battle system is faster and more furious. the dress spheres are cool because i missed the ability to pick up different occupations from ff tactics. lastly it is actually a ff sequel meaning you get to find answers to things not tied up in the first game. now onto what i dislike. for one there are absolutely NO summons. to me a ff game without summons just isn't an ff game. another beef i have is less characters. oh sure theres a certain appeal to being three hot chicks, but i have to admit i miss kimari,lu lu,auron, and wakka. lastly the game has some of the most corny dialogue ever and strong hints of girl on girl love( which is not completly bad but still very cliche.) so what do you think of this game ? did you love it, hate it or just can't decide?

i dont like the game,. X and X-2 both sucked, but X-2 mainly because IMO there shouldnt be a 2 in the numeral series

they should have made a sequel based on ff 7 or ff6 (which is 3 in the states) those games had much more lovable characters and ff7-2 could focus on cloud finding a way to bring aeris back while having to fight sephiroth once again.

yeah square seems to have kinda been more screwy now they are merged with enix...which is weird because enix makes good rpgs to so you'd think together they could come up with some kick arse concepts. fortunatelly star ocean till the end of time is close to hitting the shelves. i love star ocean!

12 looks pretty good at a glance, but all i've seen is impressive cgi's. i have no idea how the game plays though the fact it takes place in invalice, the world of ff tactics has peaked my interest a bit.

yeah, I know. if it wasn't for that. the abscence of summons, and the teenie bopper girly crap that they put into it I would have liked it a lot more.
btw... welcome back nightsavior.

i never really left in spirit. i just have been keeping busy. hopefully in ff 12 they will remedy the mistakes made in x-2. don't get me wrong i do like ff x-2 in many ways i just find it strange yuna goes from a shy soft spoken summoner to a gun toting britney spears all within the space of a few years. sure she could have done it to get over her shyness and let loose to do her own thing, but things in ff x-2 feel forced and they don't flow naturally/

I think 12 will be different... I'm not saying anything good or bad about it yet, because I don't know enough about it to make a pre-play judgement. I think their battle system will be kind of cool. From what I've read it will resemble the battle system of FFXI, with a few alterations.

from what i have heard and read on FF12 it will be good, i will be getting it ASAP when it comes out, it cant be as bad as FFTA opr FFX/X-2 IMO.. so its worth buying even if it isnt great

I hear theres gonna be an X-3 where Yuna Rikku and Paine all have a lesbian 3some then proceed to run around the game in scantily clad garments trying to run the country =/
Now as for my thoughts
Squenixie made the game on drugs while watching mass pornos. I mean come on 3 chicks, ass shots from every camera angle, outline of female features during sphere changes and an extended bathing scene screams almost explicit sexual scenes right there.
And then we have the new characters 1 word can sum it up NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOJJJJJJJJJJJJJ JJJJJJJJJJ. I mean any person with a name more retarded then wakkas deserved to be shot in the face. Then Wakkas and Lus child OMFG DISFUNTIONAL FAMILY that baby will sooner suffocate from the lack f breathing space during breastfeeding then grow up with suicidal tendancies.
Finally we come to the story, and while Paine is the best character storywise Rikku....what was the point in her being there again? Oh thats right eye candy. Sums up the story and the game in general eye candy.

I liked X2, i thought it was alright, i mean, it wasn't best ever but it had it moments. I wasn't into it at first but i grew to like it.

well x-2 was innovative in some ways. the fast fighting in real time was nice and i have to admit switching character classes during battle was pretty neat. also i think ff x-2 will introduce alot of girls to the rpg world which is always a good thing. still the game was filled to the rim with pop culture references which kinda soured the experience for me. on a brighter note i think the personalities of the girls were carried over quite nicely (accept rikku is portrayed more as a dumb blond rather then the abscent minded wiz kid she was in x). for some reason though i just could never picture yuna in hot pants. don't get me wrong she's nice to look at, but the reason i found yuna so alluring was the same reason i found aeris aluring. she had a very demure, innocence to her character. to me, yuna will always ware the robes of a summoner. i guess her being a singer is ok. it would just be a way she'd get over her shyness around people. but wielding two guns like dante and lara croft? to me that doesn't fit with her character.

wlel ya gotta remember that after Tidus' leave she would have been distraught, and thus Rikku would have cheered her up so no doubt she helped in the dress stakes then.
