View Full Version : Seeds of revolution sewn...

So, the owners and managers are trying to make me quit...
Their disregarding my arguments and actively trying to remove me as a threat..., or are just tired of me stirring up trouble...

Despite this, the westerners are agreeing that they won't stand for this - and that they'll threaten to quit if things aren't changed ( severly hindering the workforce ).
Meanwhile - some of the asian workers are becoming more vocal about the problems - and are at least speaking of it amongst each other...
Some are actively cheering us on - though keeping quiet themselves as they have too much to lose...

Pictures are actually being drawn of the owners and managers - and being put in the kitchen...,
though no one is admitting to who drew it...

Well, it really seems like rather there will be some changes - or my stay with them will be short...
Either way - something is gonna happen...

I still dont get why you dont just burn em all.

I am keeping my eye on this though, this seems interesting.

Luth: My respect increases for you, the more time goes on. Keep fighting those fuckers as long as you can. But remember what I said before...those corporate fuckers don't care about you, or any other workers. They could easily fire everyone, and find others who'll work for less. On the bright side, if everyone was pushed out...they'd have nobody to run the store for a while! :)

That's the thing - they can't just fire them - they've gone through a massive process to give them visas so they can work for only them...
they can just fire me and the few westerners - but the upside is they can't just find anyone to replace us - since there aren't many looking for the job - at least with expirience and who know the job...

In truth - they probably should just fire me - it wouldn't be much a detriment, and it would cut the whole thing right there...
We'll see if they can pressure me out...,
I've already got another job lined up anyway...

For now though, I'd like to see how much trouble I can cause...

Fight them to the end, Luther. You're like the mexican food that they really wanted, but ended up tasting like shit. They had to choke you down anyway, and now that they've finished, you're still paining them, with the shits.

Bad analogy?

Are you calling me a Mexican...?
Cause if you are, I'm seriously gonna have to cut you...

...Anyway, we had another meeting...
The owner ( well, one of them, their a family...) spoke with me personally..., was very polite and friendly...

We went over why he wanted to continue on this path - and said why they did...
I explained how in solving one minor problem they were pissing off the entire set of workers..., plus they were making a situation were all western workers would would and had quit..., and were it would be hard to hire new ones...

Thus he went on further...,
and in the process I explained differant options and several solutions to the problems he placed forward with going the route asked of them...

In the end, he seemed more inclined, and said he would like to speak with me again next week...
I don't put much in that they said they would think about it, and keep it in consideration, but it seems this time to be at least slightly more sincere...

Still, nothing has happened, we're in a stalemate...
I have not quit - but they have also not moved forward with the plans that would make me quit...
so far - they are now willing to listen more...
Don't know if it will get better or worse...

Still, it'd be good if I could change things for the better for the people there..., since they can't speak for themselves...
Today - they asked us to voice some things for them...
they asked me and this other guy who'd joined me...
even if I fail, and just quit..., at least we got out their word to the higher ups...,
that counts for something I guess...

Well, hopefully things work out for the better. But if not, at least you tried.
