What did you REALLY think of FF10?

Well people, what did you really think of FF10 in all? Did you like it? was it meh? Did it suck?

I actually didnt mind it too much. Sure, they could've done a lot better, but it wasnt as bad as it could've been.

the lack of a world map didn't bother me too much... what bothered me was the lack of a really good villain. Seymour didn't work for me.

the world map was there but just not as it usually is, the storyline was more then fine and better then some previous FF's and in all honesty the characters there were far more human and open then previous characters which were pretty emotionless.

9/10 I was soooo obsessed with this game for a while. Seymour was awful...oh well maybe next time..lol The world map didn't bother me becasue I've played other games that didn't have one. I liked the music and the sphere grid was a nice addition.

it wasnt that good. ive never been a real fan of FF, but the gameplay suced. i didnt get very far in it, but there were no puzzle solving elements in it at all, and way tooo many, way too long cutscenes. they told u where to go for gods sake! wat kind of video game does that?

puzzles = temple puzzles, the shifting around of spheres to get a treasure and the summon.

basically the game was more based on the story then the gameplay. I havent seen in other rpgs the depth in the story and characters that was in X.

Yeah, i really liked the story too. It was definitely in-depth, although i could've used a bit more actual gameplay. Not to mention i wish i could use my data on the international version so i could fight the Dark aeons...

the worst thing about Tidus is his voice. Not that it was done by a bad voice actor... it's just, every time I watch futurama and hear Fry talk I think of Tidus.

Cecil becomes king of baron and Kain his lt, then after the 5 second intro Cecil stabs kain about 40 times in the face, takes his spear and impales him outside the gate, then teh final scene is the words

FF4 is too old of a game and I doubt a sequel would draw too many people, as many new school gamers who play those kind of games probably think playing something as old as that is pointless. However, I do say that FF10 was very good, probably one of my favorite games on PS2. It had a good musical score, good characters, and good gameplay (while I've seen you people complain about it's movie scenes, I haven't seen Xenosaga mentioned once for being WORSE)

lol, Xenogears has some of the longest ever. One of them on disc 2 is about 30 min long. :alien

why not just have cecil torture kain throughout the whole game while kain cries like a little girl and begs for his teddy bear or just have him be your slave and make the game about making kain suffer

well unlike 7,9,4,6,and tactics ff x just didn't keep me enthralled. for one the main hero is a blitz ball playing super star jock so i really couldn't relate to him. the most memorable characters were actually the supporting cast. lu lu,rikku,kimari,and auron were my personal favorites. the battle system was nice simply because you could switch off characters even in the heat of the action. however though the game was gorgeous graphically it lacked many things that make ff what it is such as a non linear world map and usabale chocobos. to me ff10 was like ff8 only done alittle better. if you actually fused what was good about 8 with 10 and dropped the crappy things about them both you'd have a pretty righteous final fantasy...

of course ff 10 was fun! it was a ff game in which i liked every character which is rare. also though i trash blitzball it is addictive once you get the general hang of it. proably the reason i give ff10 a 7 is not because it's not an awesome rpg..it's proably just by the time ff10 had been out awhile other more original rpgs had started giving it competition. overall many think ff10 is just as good as ff7 because like ff7 it was the first ff on a new system. the only thing that caused me to complain a lil is the linear map but the air-ship makes up for it AND my favorite game sh covenant is linear yet i still love it. i'll never give ff10 a perfect 10..but maybe bumping it up to an 8 would be fair considering it's still a decent game. still 10-2 is a flat 7 johnny. i say this because in some ways it took lovable characters and twisted them into being annoying. for example rikku was air headed in ff x but she was also brilliant...in ff x-2 they just potray her as a ditz. brother was more of a silent warrior in ff 10 and when he spoke it was in al bhed making him seem a bit enigmatic and foreighn increasing the appeal of his role in the story. yet in ffx-2 he's annoying as all hell being yuna's boy toy and stepping stone. also despite the awesome dress sphere system they did leave out summons, a poor choice because summons represent the soul of the planet and a summoner's spirituality. you got me to raise the roof with ff10 johnny but don't expect to do the same with 10-2. lol.
