Before we continue, let's make sure of something. The "Combo" rule is on. As such, wouldn't that mean you'd turn all three cards blue?

And, you're up. Though, it looks like you won. With Combo on.. it seems like the person who goes first will almost always win, unless the one who goes second has really good cards. Huh. (stinks having to type something every time in order to let you send it.. )

Yup, good game. But something felt a little off. Since we turned over every single card on the board every single turn, obviously the person who went first would win. Kinda makes the whole "playing" part pointless.

Blue = correct Same chain start 2-2, 1-1 two sided.
Red = incorrect chain start, 1 side.

So a byplay.

First turn (no same wall + no A value = no Same score)
R - 1 (4-4)
B - 1 (4-4)

Second Turn (no same wall + no A value = no Same score)
R - 2 (4-4)
B - 2 (3-3)

Third Turn (1 card swap each, no same/plus combo)
R - 3 (6-5)
B - 3 (5-3)

Fourth Turn (no same wall + no A value = no Same score)
R - 4 (1-1)
B - 4 (2-2)

Last Turn (1 card swap to blue)
R - 3 (1-5)
B - 5 (5-1)

So yes Bloo still wins, but you played the game incorrectly with the rule set so it's up to you know who if he wants to count this match.

I'm not sure I understand. I flipped over cards that were meant to be flipped over as I saw them. If two numbers in one area didn't match or were higher, as the combo continued two numbers in a different area of the same card would.

But either way, if we did it incorrectly, she still won and can keep the card

The rules stated otherwise.

Same wall was off, and that gives the wall (the X's) a value of A so in order to be flipped via Same it would have to be:

Wall(A) -> Card side (A) then a match to the other side also. Same and plus requires 2 sides of any card in order to be used.

Pretty much you were both playing as if the wall had the value of the side card, which it can never have.

Well as i just offered to bloo, if you guys don't get it I'm willing to redo your match as to how it should look so you both can read over it.

Pretty much though

2 sides of each card need to touch, and those 2 numbers need to be the same in order for 'Same' to be applied.

You have 1 side touching, it is of the same value as the card below it but there is no second connection to that card.

How did you gain that card?

If you answer that question you then come up with the answer of what you did wrong.

The only way you can get a same with 2 cards on the field is with Same Wall on.

Then you have 2 connections:

4 - 4 (top and lower values)

I still don't understand. I read the "Same" rule to mean that you are able to flip a card if the number that's touching the opponent's number is exacally the same as the opponent's card (as well as if it's higher, per the normal rules)

And with the "Combo" rule on, if you flip a card, and that card has a number higher or the same (due to the "same" rule being on) number touching your opponent's number on another card, that one becomes flipped as well.

I have no idea what you mean by the "wall" thing.

No, for "Same" to work, you need to have the same number as at least TWO adjacent cards (it doesnt matter who owns them, though at least one must be enemy-controlled).

You can't "same" just one card. It's the same situation for "Plus" too.

Same wall just sets walls equal to A (10). Without Lv9-10 cards (only ones that can get A, unless Walnut is doing it differently), Same Wall makes no difference. It could if it applied to Plus too, but it doesn't.

There is a proper application. You "samed" with at least two cards (it can be 3, or even 4, depending on when and where). You'd win both of those cards now.

Meh. Too many diagrams with numbers makes my head spin. I don't care if I don't understand. So long as I understand the basic rules I can still play normally with no special rules set

Combo is only used for Same and/or Plus. It is not used during normal play.

Okay. This match appears to be over. If you two would like to rematch due to rule complications, that's fine. If not, let me know and I'll close this thread.

I think I'll try to write a more simplistic rule list when I have the time (I'm slacking off from 4 essays and 2 art projrects to come here at the moment)

Oh, and also: I reccomend posting your cards in each post, adding strikeout tags to help you keep track of what cards have or have not been played. It's just easier overall, something to keep in mind for next time.

All else said, this game was a good test of the system, in that "Yeah, I coulda worded things better, but at least it's nice to see the code working well." However, since this game was basically a flop, It won't count to anyone's win or lose record, and Kimiko gets to keep the Mesmerize card.
