Okay, some of you may remember me making a thread about the possibility of me quitting over a certain District Manager's lack of racial tolerance some months back.

Yesterday, the girl who told me about that aspect of his personality quit because she had not received her six-month raise after working there for almost a year and a half.

When I mentioned to my co-workers my theory on why she had left, including the said manager's racism, they laughed it off and said that there was no way he was like that.

When I think about it, I never saw any hint of him being that way at all, towards anyone. Black, white, asian, hispanic, etc he treated all the same.

At any rate, her leaving sets us up in a horrible position. Our second shift is now manned by,

1. A girl who just got hired on and doesn't really know how the store works.

2. A guy who's been working there six months but doesn't have a clue how to do his job because he'd always whine or slack off until whoever he was working with did it for him.

3. An idiot who couldn't do anything right if you had detailed instructions playing into his ears while he was asleep every night.

Which means that more often than not the night shift is going to absolutely SUCK for me because I'll wind up picking up the slack for them.

As for the girl who quit, I've got to say that no matter what the reasoning I'm pretty disappointed in her.
She has four kids (count 'em, four) all under five years old, and her boyfriend isn't likely to get a real job anytime soon. Not to mention that she just moved from an apartment into a house.

She was the major breadwinner in her family, now she's just screwed them over. The boyfriend not so much, but goddammit her kids!

This past month has been a nightmare at my work.
Two skilled employees left, one of them for what was mentioned above, and one because she couldn't meet the schedule that she needed to.
Another employee fell down a flight of stairs and died, so I had to take over the night shift and explain to all of his regular customers that the nice old man they saw every night was now a pile of ashes in an urn heading for Texas for his funeral.

And lastly, St. Patricks day. We're the only twenty four hour store in Edgewood, and we sell beer.

You do the math. >_<

So yeah, just needed to vent.

Now to kill shit in Azeroth.

That's pretty crayZ, hope it gets better for you though, can always help to try to make things better by explaining things a certain way or somethin so they get a better idea. I dunno.

Heh...my last job was really bad too. I had been there over 3 years, busted my goddamn ass, came in on day's off, came in early, stayed late, yet I was never given any promotions or respect. I was also paid less than new people coming into the store. And as I expected, the managers didn't give a flying fuck when I finally DID leave. My co-workers were pissed though, but they can't blame me either.

Turn over is crazy at places like that. I'm a server at a pizza joint, I know it happens.
