I used to referee soccer actually...,
it's one of the few sports I don't find dull - watching in person of course, I can't stand watching sports on tv...

Unfortunately I never followed particular players - mostly just teams...

Yeah it would make more sense to build a football stadium since it is way way WAY more popular here than soccer is and you could make a lot more money from it.

yeah, i dont really think beckham going over to the u.s will raise the profile of soccer over there but he's gotta retire somewhere where he'll get a game i guess
