I'm going with Iselia Queen from Star ocean 2. She has 3,300,000 HP, she an petrify you instantly (causing the need to use up a valuable accessory slow with a Stone Check), has a laster that tears right through you, and can fell your toughest fighters in a couple of seconds, and is super-fast. IT takes me about 40 minutes to bring her down, and all my characters are Lv200. An even then, i still stand a decent chance of losing.

I can't remember which WA golem I'm thinking of, but I think it was Angol Moa that was quite challenging. I never fought Iselia Queen, but I'm sure she's the hardest on that list.

Oh yes, she is. If you thought Decus and Vesper were hard, she's like LITERALLY 1000x harder.
Unless you're Lv140+, give up, cuz you wont beat her (the best level is 180+)

is she the boss of that secret dungeon you were telling me about?

no, thats Celesta or some boss like that. She's basically a weaker version of Iselia Queen. Celesta is an angel, and iselia queen is her "dark side".After beating Celesta, she gives you the Silver Trumpet (claude's fav instrument, btw) which can make the song The Evil Melody. That song summons iselia queen.
For beating her you gain millions of exp and FOL (especially if you double em, lol). I gain like 4 levels each time, and i'm Lv200. Also, she drops either an Angel Armband (best accesory) or Levantine (best weapon for Claude, Dias and Ashton)

arguably best weapon, best chain weapon for claude best stand lone is the eternal sphere due to the splash damage. But yes i would have to agree with you about her being unbelievably difficult.

Yeah, the Eternal Sphere adds the splash damage, but the Angel Armband gives any weapon the same effect. So, the Levantine would produce the splash damage too. Then, i give Claude a Slayer's Ring too so that when he strikes the enemy, it deals damage 3 times, PLUS the splash damage.
..ebbiill....

i suppose though normally i dont put the angel armband on Claude but on Ashton or dias instead since Ashton normally parries between Tri Ace's lol 'Oh the almighty tria...eliminate all of the enemies..*cue big blue light and obliteration*'

Lol, i have Angel Armbands for everyone in my main party. Won em all from Iselia queen, lol.
Claude + Levantine + Angel Armband + Slayer's ring + Seraphic Garb + Bunny Shoes or Valiant Boots = Very ebil.

lol bunny shoes that is soo wrong of an item.
Ashton, Dias, Claude = bunny shoes and you just see them run amok thru the enemies its a damn hoot, though on high enough level the valkyrie set is very nice for the females also.

Lol, yeah, but i dont have Dias, on account of i chose Claude (so i get the puny little Leon >_<). I use Precis instead. She pwns much, especially with Barrier. Plus she's hot :p
And the bunny shoes majorly rock. Although i prefer Valiant and Valkyrie Boots, as they have good defense rating =/=/=/

Tigra from BoF 2 was litteraly impossible to beat... but that's really not an optional boss, you have to fight and loose to him. I've tried killing him before, even after my strategy guide said you can't.

ah i tried that with Rowd at the start of Suikoden 2 a lvl 46 Riou with 5ish weapon, killer rune, double beat and beserk couldnt even dint him. And i mean come on come the next battle where you actually have a chance to beat him i waltzed my Riou over in about 3 goes with cavalry and pwned him lol.

Nereid/Regulus from Tales of Destiny 2. Sorry, but any boss who can do 30k damage in a single hit is quite nasty, especially since he's invincible during the animation for the attack.

Nereid/Regulus was one of the hardest, i agree arfypoo, but....Iselia Queen was still harder :p :p
That shockwave attack of hers can rip through your main attackers even w/ Seraphic Garbs and various other high-level armors >_<
Actually...i think they have about the same difficulty. =/

Iselia Queen gave me the most trouble

Obviously, you've never fought Nereid/Regulus, or you'd have to agree they must be near equal in difficulty. If it takes you 10 minutes to kill the final boss, Nereeid/Regulus will have you running all over the place for half an hour, then kill you so you have to restart his entire dungeon. Heck, getting to him just adds to the difficulty!
Through the entire (randomly generated) labyrinth, you can't save, items can only be used in battles, you get one character for each of the first 5 floors, you can't use the same character twice, and the only way out of there is to hightail it out after you kill the boss on whatever floor you're on. Then, he shows you why legendary martial artists should NEVER fuse with the God of Non-Existence (which is me ^_^)

I have fought both, arfypoo, and Iselia queen is harder than Nereid Regulus. Not by much, but still.
Nereid
02-16-2004, 01:16 AM
Um, it kinda evens out when you take into account how hard it is to reach each of them...especially since Nereid/Regulus won't effing stay dead! I've only got a 12/23 record against him...
Lancet Jades
02-16-2004, 01:18 AM
Iselia Queen doesnt stay dead either. She's a fallen angel, after all =/=/=/. And its not hard to reach her, but she can be a mean bitch >_<
Nereid
02-16-2004, 01:22 AM
Well, at least she gives you a 3-d battlefield, so a straight-line shot doesn't guarantee a hit...
Lancet Jades
02-16-2004, 01:25 AM
Yeah, but she has this shockwave laser attack that rips through your fighters. IT slaughters them easily >_<
Nereid
02-16-2004, 01:28 AM
Well, Nereid/Regulus uses spells to knock out your mages while he mercilessly pummels your fighters.
Lancet Jades
02-16-2004, 02:02 AM
Yeah, Regulus has 2 parts to him, only one of which you can actually target. So he can attack multiple people at once >_<

Star Dragon (Lunar 2) is the only one on this list that i can remember having a hard time with

The Seraphic Radiance (Yuri's Father) fight in Shadowhearts 1. It was tough as hell. I recently beat Faust in LoD and he was hard to overcome as well. I'll vote other for the Radiance.
you kidding me? Seraph Radiance was easy... least for me, id definitely say Nereid/Regulus fucker.... i cant STAND even going through that fucking dungeon to tell you the truth... omg that place was tough to even get to the guy... then i got raped 5 secs into battle first time... i got sooo PO'd , till i barely beat him after leveling up another 30 levels lol ... it was a sad time trying to beat that guy... btw, how can you possible even put Sekundes on the same list as Nereid/Regulus dude.....? Sekundes can be beat like 40 levels under him lol, if anything Maxwell is harder than Sekundes.
