Hardest FF Optional boss?

What is the hardest FF optional boss ever?

I'm going with Ozma. The way the battle is set up, its nearly impossible, and surviving is mostly luck.

(note: i added in all of the optional bosses, although bosses that are just weaker forms of another one [ex: Ultima and omega weapon in FF8] are all on the same line)

Ozma is very hard, but I voted for the Nemesis option because I consider Nemesis and that bastard Neslug to be quite hard.

OH, nemesis is a pushover if you're powerful enough (eg 255 of every stat, like me)

dark aeons/penance no doubt about that the others i can beat willy nilly now but im still having trouble with the dark aeons, and let alone penance who is supposedly only beatable by zanmoto.

Omega was the hardest for me I was only at level 30 and was all wtf is that robot doing here?

Well, yeah. It was a robot. But it was still Omega Weapon, minus the weapon. Omega in FF5 was the original weapon, lol.

Omega AND Shinryu on FF5 were stronger than X-Death. To be an optional boss, you really haver to be at least AS hard as the final boss =/

Shinryu I was ready for... still harder than X-Death and Neo X-death but not as hard as Omega for me

Omega's really hard, but equipping fire Rings makes it better. His Encircle attack is evil though >_<

i think that penance would be the hardest unless you maxed your stats like the legend teh johnny boy did and soon i will. But i think hades/ozma was the hardest

wow talk about revivng a dead topic, really in truth there are no hard bosses since each can be defeated easily with a certain strat and certain items. All that it means is you expend more effort in preparation or during battle then in other things. And why the hell is my screen flickering...dont make me get the sledghammer.

Lets see Anima takes roughly 2 hours for 8million HP no Zanmoto so 100billion would take about id guess at around 20 odd weeks with current damage caps. So dayam.

But no i want to make a villian that is like the guy in unbreakable, meaning his fragile and weak and you can beat the pants off him but he makes you ever so pissed off at him everytime you see him. And everytime you see him you want to break the controller to get at him. :angel

Ozma. You have to do another side-quest just so you can use physical attacks. Hades was f***ing easy though. I was only at Lvl 40-45 with poor equipment on my first go

You don't need to fight Ozma to fight Hades. I fought Hades WAY before Ozma. Hades is VERY easy, or so I found.

But yeah, Ozma is a bitch and a half.

I'd have to say Faust in LoD is a real bitch I never did actually beat him.His meteor attack killed whoever didn't have the red stone to half fire dmg and dart wore his red armor.Faust's magic attacks were just devastating.I did get him to yellow life once so I almost beat him.I think i could if i tried it in my better game when i got the DD.Altima

The only thing that can be tough about Hades is his plague attack... but I always beat him before his countdown ended.

You can fight him whenever you want once you get to his area in Memoria. There isn't anything special you need to do to get to him... just walk behind the rock he's hiding under in the water area.

Ozma on the other hand... you've got to complete nearly all of the chocobo quest to get to him.

I'm gonna say Emerald Weapon, but I guess Ruby is equally hard. I think it depends on which you beat first, I beasted up on Emerald and then Ruby seemed like a pansy, lol.

Emerald Weapon was tough, but Ruby was a pushover. Omega in FFV is weak against lightning, automatically disqualifying it, Ozma you just need to have the right characters for, Nemesis only took me about 30 mins on my third try to beat, Hades was also a pushover, FFVIII I don't remember too well, I hate anyone who has the international version of FFX, and FFX2 I never got that far in.

What you need for him is "Last Cast" materia or whatever its called, and equip it to full life or Phoenix for one person, and if you have a second then equip that to KoR. Speaking of, save Omnislash and KoR for when he starts glowing. Otherwise he'll nuke your MP.

I always had trouble with Emerald Weapon in FF7. I never fought Ozma in FF9 but I heard he was hard too. Omega weapon was easy in FF8. I used holy war to beat him tho lol. I'll pick Emerald.

i think it was optional to fight the turks in the sewers in FF7 if you played out a series of events correctly. thats just what I heard. i had to fight them newayz, and it was difficult for me because none of my characters were very strong at that point except cloud. i may be wrong though.
