For starters I don't think Dl'ing WMP 10 or higher will help...didn't do that yet...but heres something interesting I found in IE history. IE's history is being filled up with shit loads of places I never even visited. All of them dirty sites of course. --''' Now what?
The only absolute solution I see for you is to buy your own computer! Sharing computers with people who will screw them up leads to headaches and anger. I've been there many a time...

Yeah...but I have to get this problem fixed by tomorrow though....cause my mother wants to make a ghost image of this system then....but i don't want that shit to come back after she does make that image. <_<
I think... you're screwed. At least try the update.

If the normal internet options don't work, try deleting all your cookies in your Temp files.
As for the sites that you never visited, could it be adware or something, or is someone surely going there? That happened to me on the old comp; "7 days of free XXX" kept appearing at the bottom of the favorites lit!

You might have somebody getting in your computer... have you tried that AVG that Holly suggested? I use it myself, it's holding up well.

Uh, if your mother can make a ghost image, surely you can explain to her that theres a dialer on the pc prior to her doing it and she'd then have the knowledge base to at least do a prelim scan before ghosting.
The fact that its porn is irrelevant as all dialers are going to bring up porn sites anyway.

Hijack this?
Would defragging do anything?

Fly, it is decided. Together, we shall make a dialer that will dial up kid-friendly sites!

I dont know if it would work or anything, but you could try getting another browser, such as Firefox.

That still doesn't help/ >_> She likes IE as is and lol lades. But yeah....as long as I just keep IE open and keep history open and delete them as they come up every now and then I should be fine...cause I used IE with at&t yesterday with her login and it didn't do anything with that....maybe its only under my login.

I didn't read the whole thread, but did you try Ad-aware SE Personal and a virus scan? Like, BOTH of them? Full system scan with Nortons and Ad-aware usually kills off anything that's sitting on there. Depends on what virus system you have but there should be a full system scan somewhere.

I don't have adaware.....but I need that....and notron...have it...doesn't find anything..and AVG have it..doesn't find anything

I have that, it hasn't worked for me, unless I'm using it wrong, which could be the case. Cause I'm computer stupid.
