Do you bake? o.o

Go on, seriously. Do any of you guys bake.

I LOVE to bake. I bake when I'm happy, when I'm sad...Normally when I'm sad...Cos making the perfect cake always puts a smile back on my face.

I'm the creative kind of cook, though. None of this measuring and reading from a book crud...I do it my way. I learn more that way.

I just get a feeling and go for it. Recently, I wanted to make some lemon curd tarts (I LOVE lemon curd...It's just so niiiiice~ ) and I thought how I'd like them to be soft and fluffy like a cake...But not too thick. So I added some extra stuff to it...They came out like itty-bitty cakes with lemon curd in the middle...They didn't look amazing but they tasted better than ANY lemon-curd tart I have ever had. My dad loved them so much...He ate ten in one go. My brothers don't like lemon, though...So it was just my dad and me that ate them.

So, do you bake? If so, how do you do it? You follow books or do you wing it?
Ever created something all your own? And what's your favorite thing to bake?

My favorite thing to bake....Cookies and/or Rock Cakes. They're so much fun to make ^_^

I do, sorta, but the waiting can kill me sometimes. My mom bought the stuff to bake cookies, but I've been getting shitted on by schoolwork, so we haven't yet. Hopefully over the weekend...

Well...I guess cleaning up is no fun...I find that it's fun and very relaxing...Besides, nothing beats that freshly baked smell ^__^

Baking is ok. I prefer other methods of cooking though. Baked goods ARE good, but not my favorite thing to make.

I'm not big on sweets, so most of what I do make is simple...,
like bread and such...

I love baking!! I love baking cookies and pies and stuff like that. Most of the time, I follow my great grandmother's recipes but I've been known to wing it if I'm out of a certain ingredient.

Nah, just the oven was pasted with sticky goo and there was a miniature mushroom cloud of cakey goodness.

It just then clogged most of the gas pipes since by waiting for the oven to cool down to surmise what damage had been done it hardened and sections solidified down the pipes.

I was 8, and i had to halve the ingredients and obviously failed dismally at the given task. Its taken almost 14 years and I still haven't attempted it again!

I love to bake. Mainly around the holidays..although last year I didn't do as much as I normally would. I like making fudge, candy, etc. My b/f does all the other cooking...so, that's a blessing...lol I made fudge for Christmas last year..so far no reports of anyone using it as hockey pucks!!! lol

I can't bake. I have no idea how to, and I feel even if I was taught how to bake I would suck at it. It's just not my kind of thing.
