yeah, it is. and Fenrir is also connected to that. He eats the sun to set the world into darkness at the beginning of the Ragnarok. (crafty way to explain solar eclipses huh :D)

In FF7 there is an advertisement for Xenogears...when you talk to cloud when he's in the wheelchair a couple of times he'll start babbling about angels and stuff( I don't remember what he says exactly) Anyway he mentions Xenogars which is a mistranslation of Xenogears.
