I'm not going though the entire bowl schedule, but I will talk about a few games of interest. Not that I'm expecting anyone, with exception of Deity, to post in this.

Gator Bowl
Jacksonville, FL
Gator Bowl
January 1, 2007, CBS
ACC No. 3 vs. Big 12 or Big East
Bowl Matchup: Georgia Tech vs. West Virginia

I like West Virginia in this one, though I don't really know much about either team, so its really a toss up for me.

Cotton Bowl
Dallas, TX
Cotton Bowl
January 1, 2007, Fox
Big 12 No. 2 vs. SEC
Bowl Matchup: Nebraska vs. Auburn

Auburn, I think they'll be too much for Nebraska.

Outback Bowl
Tampa, FL
Raymond James Stadium
January 1, 2007, ESPN
Big Ten No. 3 vs. SEC
Bowl Matchup: Penn State vs. Tennessee

Once again, I think Tenneessee will too much for Penn St.

Capital One Bowl
Orlando, FL
Alltel Stadium
January 1, 2007, ABC
SEC No. 2 vs. Big Ten No. 2
Bowl Matchup: Arkansas vs. Wisconsin

Of course, I'll go with my Hogs, but Wisconsin has a scary running back and they need to tackle better or it may be long game for the Hogs.

International Bowl
Toronto, Canada
Rogers Centre
January 6, 2007, ESPN
MAC vs. Big East No. 4 or 5
Bowl Matchup: Western Michigan vs. Cincinnati

Don't know much these teams either, I'll go with Cincinnati for the hell of it.

GMAC Bowl
Mobile, AL
Ladd Peebles Stadium
January 7, 2007, ESPN
Conference USA No. 2 vs. MAC
Bowl Matchup: Southern Miss vs. Ohio

Once again don't know much these either, Southern Miss has always been tough, so I'll go with them.

BCS GAMES

Rose Bowl
Pasadena, CA
Rose Bowl
January 1, 2007, ABC
BCS vs. BCS (Big 10 vs. Pac 10 if available)
Bowl Matchup: Michigan vs. USC

Now we get to the good ones. Michigan should win this game, hopefully they've gotten over the loss to OState.

Fiesta Bowl
Glendale, AZ
Glendale Stadium
January 1, 2007, Fox
BCS vs. BCS (Big 12 Champion to play here if available)
Bowl Matchup: Oklahoma vs. Boise State

Some say that Boise State doesn't belong here, but they've done what they've needed to do to get in this game, however,Oklahoma's tough, they don't have their starting RB, but I think Oklahoma wins ina close go.

Orange Bowl
Miami, FL
Dolphins Stadium
January 2, 2007, Fox
BCS vs. BCS (ACC Champion to play here if available)
Bowl Matchup: Wake Forest vs. Louisville

Wake Forest has had a great year, as well as Louisville. Good game, but I like Louisville to win.

Sugar Bowl
New Orleans, LA
Louisiana Superdome
January 3, 2007, Fox
BCS vs. BCS (SEC Champion to play here if available)
Bowl Matchup: Notre Dame vs. LSU

LSU is the most talented team in the SEC, I should know, Notre Dame better bring their A game. Still I like LSU to win, its gonna be like a home game for them after all.

BCS Championship Game
Glendale, AZ
Glendale Stadium
January 8, 2007, Fox
BCS No. 1 vs. BCS No. 2
Bowl Matchup: Ohio State vs. Florida

I said this as my Hogs lost to Florida in the SEC Championship, don't want to talk about it, Florida will get creamed by OState, it'll get ugly before its over.

I don't really follow sports too much, but I have to say I'd love to see West Virginia win the Gator Bowl. Gotta support my home team.

I might post more bowl games later as the bowl season draws near, but I'll stick with this for now.

Gator Bowl
Jacksonville, FL
Gator Bowl
January 1, 2007, CBS
ACC No. 3 vs. Big 12 or Big East
Bowl Matchup: Georgia Tech vs. West Virginia

I actually really like Reggie Ball and Calvin Johnson from GT, but after a losing performance against Wake....If you can't beat Wake Forest in your championship came, you don't take down West Virginia. They're a decent team from a horrible conference

Cotton Bowl
Dallas, TX
Cotton Bowl
January 1, 2007, Fox
Big 12 No. 2 vs. SEC
Bowl Matchup: Nebraska vs. Auburn

The bottomline is Nebraska doesn't stand a chance. They'll lose by 10 to a team as talented as Auburn.

Outback Bowl
Tampa, FL
Raymond James Stadium
January 1, 2007, ESPN
Big Ten No. 3 vs. SEC
Bowl Matchup: Penn State vs. Tennessee

Sometimes I wished I followed college ball more. I honestly don't know enough to predict this one, though on pure logic there's no reason any team from the Big 10 should beat an SEC team in the middle of the conference.

Capital One Bowl
Orlando, FL
Alltel Stadium
January 1, 2007, ABC
SEC No. 2 vs. Big Ten No. 2
Bowl Matchup: Arkansas vs. Wisconsin

Probably the two most talented teams not in the BCS. Wisconsin has been getting a raw deal all year. They're among the big boys and they'll show it here.

International Bowl
Toronto, Canada
Rogers Centre
January 6, 2007, ESPN
MAC vs. Big East No. 4 or 5
Bowl Matchup: Western Michigan vs. Cincinnati

Of all the obscure bowl games...

Cinci is a decent team, WM is from the MAC. Cinci wins.

GMAC Bowl
Mobile, AL
Ladd Peebles Stadium
January 7, 2007, ESPN
Conference USA No. 2 vs. MAC
Bowl Matchup: Southern Miss vs. Ohio

Ohio will not win this game no matter what.

BCS GAMES

Rose Bowl
Pasadena, CA
Rose Bowl
January 1, 2007, ABC
BCS vs. BCS (Big 10 vs. Pac 10 if available)
Bowl Matchup: Michigan vs. USC

I think this is the hardest one to call. I think Michigan is the best team in the game, but USC does have the unfair "neutral" homefield advantage. Michigan wins this 60% of the time though in my mind, so I'm picking Michigan.

Fiesta Bowl
Glendale, AZ
Glendale Stadium
January 1, 2007, Fox
BCS vs. BCS (Big 12 Champion to play here if available)
Bowl Matchup: Oklahoma vs. Boise State

Boise State is going to get a beat down. Oklahoma is much better than they're given credit for. They got screwed out of a win against Oregon and they're going to explode in this game. The Non BCS is going to be ousted. This isn't Pitt v. Utah. Pitt was an 8 win team. Oklahoma is legit and ready to tear Boise State a new one.

Orange Bowl
Miami, FL
Dolphins Stadium
January 2, 2007, Fox
BCS vs. BCS (ACC Champion to play here if available)
Bowl Matchup: Wake Forest vs. Louisville

I've made it clear all year that I love this team. Just think, if Rutgers didn't get a mulligan on a kick, we'd have undefeated OSU v. undefeated Louisville. Wake Forest is a joke, they're not going to stand a chance in this game. I really don't like the BCS matchups this year...

Sugar Bowl
New Orleans, LA
Louisiana Superdome
January 3, 2007, Fox
BCS vs. BCS (SEC Champion to play here if available)
Bowl Matchup: Notre Dame vs. LSU

Quite honestly, as much as I've promised blowouts thus far (and will continue...) this one is going to be the biggest yet. Honestly, LSU is possibly the best two loss team I've ever seen. They ran into Florida at Florida and Auburn at Auburn when they were very injured. LSU is going to crush the joke of an Irish team which should have about three or four losses this season. Brady Quinn will not have a good showing for his pro scouts. Jamarcus Russell (who I think is the best QB who might be in this draft class) is going to put on a huge performance pushing him up the charts. One hundred percent lock! LSU wins huge.

BCS Championship Game
Glendale, AZ
Glendale Stadium
January 8, 2007, Fox
BCS No. 1 vs. BCS No. 2
Bowl Matchup: Ohio State vs. Florida

OSU wins. They'd beat anyone in the nation. There are only two teams I think would give them a real game. LSU and Louisville. Gee don't you wish there was a playoff system?

Michigan, the supposed second best team got all the breaks they could ask for and they still lost. OSU wins easily.

What a bummer of a BCS.

about time, yes, Playoff system would be nice, I hate this system, teams it should be settled on the field, not by a computer.

The Deity

Well it wasn't settled by a computer Michigan and Florida were tied in the computers, human vote put Florida in the BCS game.

Interesting development though that Florida somehow gained 60 some odd points more after beating Arkansas when USC also lost. I'm not sure if you're aware, but no win should ever make that much of a difference in human rankings. I promise you there were no swings like that unless a team loss during the rest of the season.

yeah, I've been hearing everybodies opinion abut who should be there and all. Number one, Michigan lost, did they derserve another shot, maybe, they seem like the second best team. However, Florida won their conference championship, and if it hadn't been a bonehead play by Reggie Fish trying to field that fucking punt, sorry I'm still a little stressed about that one, anyway, we probably would be seeing Michigan and OState a rematch.

think about taking the top 8 bcs ranked teams and put them in a playoff. that would be interesting to me.

I'd honestly like to see a modified NFL playoffs, give two teams first round byes and have 6 teams in. I understand the need for bowl games and quite honestly I think the BCS should just be replaced and all the other bowls remain.

Quite honestly though, I don't want more than eight teams though. I love that every game matters in the college football regular season anymore teams in the playoff system would prevent that. Honestly, I'd like four or six teams.

hadn't thought of it that way, that actually sounds like a simpler way to do it.
