This idea came about because of the other thread.....

My FFT thing I talked about was my worst...where I didn't notice the additional pages until after I had already beat the game. :crazy

So what's the worst thing you have done?

lol, in FFCC i didnt know WTF they ment by "point the moogle" til i almost beat it and lades told me about it... i never even went into a moogles nest :lancy

first time i played FF7 i was at sephroth last fight, but i lost and tried to lvl up, i stoped playing it for like a week or so, come back and forgot where i was so started over :chuckle

thats all i can think of right now
Edit: oh yeah, when i played FF1 the first time (never played a game on a system before) i didnt know you could save the game :P so i played it and played it, didnt turn off the system and beat it in 2 days never playing a game before, and without saving or turning it off =/

Well...lets see...FFTA...I had no clue what i was doing...so i went and ran around doing all the misions, and i thought that i could beat it first try...well...i hit the first totema with a level 9 character...and the counter wiped me out...
FFCC...everthing i do on there is the dumbest thing...so that basically counts, too

Hmmm...dumbest thing...

In Grandia, i thought that in order to level up magic, you needed to use a single spell over and over. So i was using Burn! and WOW millions of times, gaining only 1-3 exp for the elements each time. Much, much, much later, i realized that just leveling up the element(s) itself levels up ALL magic w/ that element...

I would say the stupidest thing I ever did was in FF7. I didn't know how to get everybody's 2nd lvl 3 limit, so I spent so much time lvling them all to lvl 99 hoping they would learn it. Then I was told that you had to actually use those limits to lvl up to the next one.

mine is probably not knowing that you could deal with Merlinus outside of battle in Fire Emblem.

I'd have to say the dumbest thing I ever did was when I was playing through FF6 again just for the heck of it, I hadn't played in about a week so I forgot I hadn't broken the curse on the Cursed Shield so I had it equipped when I got to Kefka...

i killed my entire party in Suikoden 2 using the Blue Gate Rune.

I used a gameshark to hax my character during Suikoden (after about the 40th time i played dont worry) and took a lvl 40 party back to lvl 1 and couldnt make it back to the outside of the dungeon to use the blinking mirror.

NWN...i also haxed my character and effectiely gave her -6574 mag defence and evasion.

FF1, walking into the volcano i only had fire elemntal weapons

let's see. In FF6 I kept forgetting to save in the world map, so I fought a boss in teh World of Ruin, and I died. And I ended back up on the Floating Continent. I was at the phoenix cave too >>

And in FF7 at the beginning, I didn't know there was a doorway to the left and I spent like 10 minutes looking for the doorway xD

i saved over my FF 10 file, i had everything, with the exception of nemsis, i didn't have the heart to go and do all that stuff again. esp the ligthing thing on thunder plains. other than that i'm sure i've screwed up plenty of other times but thankfully i have forgotten and would not like to be reminded how much of dummy i am. lol

I saved over my ff7 data once. Thing is, I had the golden chocobo, beaten emerald and ruby and mastered all the summons! When I did that I auctually cried!

alot of times i go through a game without saving at all, not cause i think im that good.. just because i'm dumb and forget, so many times i play a game, get to the end then die and dont have a save.

lunar 1, first time playing, never saved the game and died at the end...i almost cried...
i restarted playing right away and saved this time, i was close to the end and saved over it with FF7 (part of why i hate FF7 now) FF7 = ok game..pissed me of in many ways outside of the game itself...

so in the end, i almost beat lunar 1 two times and lost the game... then twin_reaper took it back form me :( but i got it back months letter and beat it...

Overwriting a data file I wanted to hold on to. Turning the power off before saving my game. That is all I can think of.
