Samurai Showdown or Last Blade?

Okay, so SNK has two Samurai fighting titles that are pretty similar : Samurai Showdown and Last Blade. Out of the two, which do you guys think is the better game?

It's really close in my opinion, but I'd have to say SS. Last Blade may edge out SS in graphics, but SS has more characters that are better developed, more sword styles, more variety in the different modes (changing the modes in SS3 and 4 are like playing with completely different characters), and a slightly more developed story.

i havnt play either one, but i asked a friend and he said Last Blade was better, so ill vote for it.

lol... well... after actually playing last blade 2 I'm going with that. It doesn't have the huge backstory that SS does... but the gameplay and animation are both superior.

Hehe sure... Tessa-chan was suppose to join me and Kimiko one night but she was busy and me and Kimiko haven't played in awhile. I'm down to play you people though. BTW I use my keyboard :P So I might not be able to do a lot of the moves :chuckle

I want to play tooooooooooo~ Oh, and Last Blade, for me. I personally like the storyline of Last Blade better than I do that of Samurai Shodown. In Samurai SHodown, except for a few instances, all the characters have their own seperate storyline, while in Last Blade, all the characters are linked together in one way or another and all have a grander destiny planned out for them

sfa3 is online? wow that's sweet. it's a close call peeps, both are great 2d games but since i like samurai shodowns back story and fighting styles for the characters more, i gotta go with it for now.

not officially, lol. get the arcade version roms and play them through kawaks, which has netplay.

*giggles* I wanna play more people, it's been a while since I played online (not counting the few matches of SFA3 I did against Lathan about a week ago). Also, once I move, it's probably going to be a bit before I can get my computer set back up again...

Anyways, considering the absolute dissapointment that SS5 supposedly was (No storyline?! WTF?), I'm thinking of changing my vote to Last Blade also... I dunno, I'm kinda on the fence with the two at the moment.
