Anyway, aside from the given Ohio State team, who do you think right now is the best team in the nation?

Auburn, Florida, and Texas have spurned the title so far this year, though I don't believe any of them to ever have been particulalry worthy.

Right now, I lean towards Michigan as being the 1a to the Buckeyes. However, when of them knocks off the other I'm leaning towards Louisville (or whoever wins the Louisville-West Virginia game).

I honestly don't have much respect for USC this year. I would expect them to lose a couple the rest of the way. Regardless, I'm sure they won't get by Cal and Oregon in back to back weeks.

Well, Ohio State is a beast, they'll be hard to knock off. If Michigan makes it undefeated to the Ohio State game, it'll prove interesting too see if they can come up big when it counts, cause resently Michigan has choked in big games. But this is a different Michigan team so I dunno.

As far as after that, I think its funny that a lot of people picked Auburn to play for the national title and my Hogs whiped there ass. And after the game the Auburn players wined that the better team lost. While I think that some of that may be true, my Hogs are up and coming. We have one of the best QB's in the nation, but he's just a baby, when he matures its going to be awesome, will we win the national championship, I wish. LOL But not this year, maybe in the near furture.

I think it'll come down to the winner of the Michigan, OState game and USC, though I do not believe USC is as good as it was. Simply because USC has all of its big games at home, and they're tough to beat there. I know they have Oregon and Cali coming. Oregon got the biggest break of the year when the beat Oklahoma, thanks to hometown Refs, according to all the TV sports dudes, I didn't see the call, but I read about it. California looks tough, but who have they played, they step it up, they could do it, I just don't see it happening.

But if USC stumbles looks for West Virginia to get there if they survive Louisville.

As far as one loss teams, Texas has to be the front runner. Auburn maybe, but they lost to Arkansas, which in there minds was the inferior team. Florida isn't anything special, trust me, they can't decide on a QB.

On a side note, did you see that crap in the Miami, Florida International game. Do you think that what both teams coaches did fit the crime. Or should they have gotten punished more for their actions?

Well I know USC is tough to beat at home, but I still don't think they can eek out these wins. They just don't look good enough. Though I suppose if they handle Oregon, Cal, and Notre Dame I'll be virtually unable to argue the point.

Oregon got a break, I would have left the call as it was called on the field, but Oregon still had to drive 60 yards to win the game in a low amount of time. Cal has looked amazing aside from the loss against the Vols to open the year. I'm not high on the Irish, but they're still Notre Dame and they're still worthy of being ranked.

Though I personally think it is going to be

OSU/Mich vs. West Virginia/Louisville which will be the only two undefeated teams.

If for whatever reason a one loss team gets in, I suppose Texas would get it, though I still might like it to be Michigan if they keep it very close through the game.

As for the brawl, Miami wimped out. They just don't want to chance losing games. They players pildrived, stomped on, and swung helemets on UFLA. Only one player got suspended indefinately, everyone else gets one game...versus Duke.

Meanwhile Florida Atlantic's coach tossed players off the team. At least someone has a spine. Have you heard the President of Miami? She was on Mike and Mike in the morning. Apprently she didn't even review the tape! Take charge of your college!

Not this time, I'm much more of a fan of the other 60 some year old coach that has been at his school forever.

Here's a situation:

If the winner of the UM/OSU game goes on to be the only undefeated team, does the other deserve to be 2? Like if Michigan were to win and they ended up finishing the season as the only undefeated, is OSU 2?

Good question, if Michigan beats OState, then you have a pretty good case for a rematch in the title game, possibly. But I don't think that'll happen, too many one loss teams out there most likely and they'll pick someone else, or someone else will surge to the front. The BCS's system is flawed and they're really needs to be a play off system if you ask me and all these arguements would cease.

Should it? I would think so if the game is a great one that goes down to the wire. It wouldn't happen though.

The Big ten has no conference tourny (which could allow a rebound) and there are going to be too many other one loss teams, some of whom lost at the start of the year. College football is a game of polls, and the earlier you lose, the more time you have to work your way gradually back up. Despite OSU having been ranked so big so long, Texas/Auburn and company should jump them. Especially with both of those conferences with a conference championship game to allow for another quality win.

Now, that's still not going to happen. A Big East team is going to finish undefeated, and thus will likely get in the championship game.

I'm pretty sure that Michigan wouldn't make it to the chsmpionship game if they lose to OSU. Their non-conference schedule is to weak. (Ball State?) They will probably make it to the OSU game undefeated though.

Texas has games all through the year they're favored by 60 points...I don't think Michigan's is all the lackluster in comparisson. They won't make it simply because they lost late in the year while other teams lost early as unfair as that is...

The loser will certainly still make the Rose Bowl.
