You find Yang in the Sylph Cave and he won't respond to you, so you go and talk to his wife and she gives you a frying pan. With it you smack Yang over the head and he wakes up then goes back home (also aquiring the summon Sylph) then you talk to Yang's wife again and she gives you the spoon.
