I'd say it was Gremio. He sacrificed himself to save everyone else. It was a sad, tragic death. And... it sucked to lose such a good character (that is pretty leveled up by that point...)

Gremio, to me, was a rarity. Characters of his type are usually just plain annoying, but they did an excellent job with him.

Anyway I was pissed when Nanami "died" because like Gremio they force you to use her and then she ups and leaves...but unlike Gremio she doesn't make an appearance again until the end of the game.

It was also sad when Granmeyer (sp?) was killed after the Highland army captured South Window...

well technically he doubled as a strategist and general, if you take note of Jowy being the general and Leon being his strategist with Seed and Culgan as lt's. So it was because he failed to provide a sound strategy that he was beheaded.

I guess... Nanami. She was an awesome character and died protecting her 'brother'. Gremio's death would have been better and more tragic if he didn't die from man-eating spores. Wtf?! That is such a stupid way of killing a character who dies for a heroic purpose.
Yun probably would have had the most tragic death in my mind if she was in more of the game. I felt myself become really saddened when she died even though she wasn't in much of the game.
It was a damn shame when Seed and Culgan died. They were extremely respectable characters and I wish they were on my team instead of getting killed by me.
