Grow up. If you're going to post opinions in threads on a forum, you should expect at least some kind of comment or discussion. That's the point of a discussion board.

I'm not going to treat you special and not respond to anything you say. If someone says something in a discussion that I don't agree with, I voice my opinion almost all of the time. I also try to give my reasoning behind my opinion, and try to have an intelligent discussion with other members.

I admit to having a sharp tongue at times and making use of sarcasm. I also could point out about 90% of the active members do the same, though not neccesarily in the same way.

Your post in response to Deity posting a picture in the thread, asking him the point of posting said picture. I think I know why you singled him out, but that's not really the point. Your question was aimed at him, but it had a fairly obvious answer, which I gave.

It's the boss of the internet, of course.
The only way I could have made that more straightforward would be taking out the "of course", which only signified the obvious nature of the answer, and was not an attempt at sarcasm or even at smartassery. Had I mocked your question, for example something like "Read the thread title, idiot", then you'd be correct in it being a smartass comment. But that's not the case.

Taking my post as sarcasm for some reason, you then shot back at me with

Obviously mocking a very similar post that I had made in the past, when obvious sarcasm was being used and the person's post was taken seriously.

Er... kay? There are two things I can think that even remotely make sense for you to be referring to. One is in debates, where the point is to argue one's opinion, and unless I've forgotten something that's pretty much what I tend to do. The other would be me acting on my mod duties, which is my job on the forums. Again, you don't get special treatment out of everybody just cause you don't like it. If you break rules, then I tend to verbally warn the exact same way that I do with everyone else, and I take it to the admins if I feel it neccessary.

While I'm certainly willing to apologize for offending someone in that way, I'd appreciate hearing some examples of your grievances. I know we've gone into debates several times in the past few weeks, but I can't think of anything that was out of turn or not normal for me in a debate. Admittedly, everyone's a saint when telling their side, so if I really am missing something, please point it out. If I was genuinely being abnormally rude or cruel, then I will apologize. But at the moment, I'm not certain about what you're referring to.

Black Death, nothing you say changes the fact that your first post in here was SPAM. I'm tempted to warn you for it because I can't see how you could possibly have wanted to post that without intentionally provoking people into attacking you back, knowing that they can't be warned for it in here. And before you go crying "But its the Gates - flaming and trolling isn't against the rules here!" the reasoning is because in doing so, you chose to break the only real rule the Gates has, which is about spam.

If you're so confident that the internet is never worth getting upset about, as you've so many time stated, then don't visit this forum. If you really find it hard to resist the temptation to post "Its the internet, if you get upset over it you're a lifeless nerd," then tell me, and I'll remove your account's access to this forum, so you won't be tempted to post.

In any case, this little bitchfest you've provoked with your spam makes me think I should possibly add a clause to the Gates rules that if, through violation of the Gates' rules (which the only one is really spam), you start a whole new argument, you'll be given a much stronger warning, and possibly have your access removed for a long period of time.

Regardless of all that, Black Death, if you spam in here once more, you'll lose access to the Gates for 2 months at LEAST.

In any case, this thread is closed since it's gone completely off-topic, and is only causing further completely unnecessary arguments.
