Basically, I want to know what rank you think you're at in terms of RPG-playing?
Novice
You've maybe played two or three RPGs in your life (not including "Zelda" games) and rarely ever wander from your favorite series. You don't know much about the genre, but you've enjoyed playing the few games you've experienced. You may be eager to play more in the future, though.
Casual
You play RPGs when you have time for them. You have other things to worry about, though . . . Like school/work/family/romance/social life/etc or maybe you play other genres of games far more often than you do RPG games. In addition, you rarely fully experience the RPGs you play (meaning completing all sidequests, maxxing all stats, replaying the game, etc.).
Apprentice
You're part of the "younger generation" of RPG'ers. The first console rpgs that you played were of the PS1/N64 era. You're at a crossroads of becoming an RPG Fiend or a laid back Veteran player.
Veteran
You've been playing RPGs for years. You've been there since the old 8/16-bit RPG games. Maybe you've played a few PC RPGs and have followed a particular series (like FF) for quite a while now. You have a throughout understanding of the genre and may consider it to be your favorite amongst other genres. Nowadays, though, you may or may not be able to keep up with the games as much as you used to. Maybe it's the more "mainstream" nature of the genre that turns you off. Maybe you've moved on and discovered more important things to do with your time. Or maybe this isn't the case and you still play the games as much as ever. No matter what the case, though, you'll always have fond memories of the hours you spent playing the RPGs of yore.
RPG Fiend
You live all things RPG. You can and MUST get your hands on anything that looks or smells vaguely like an RPG, whether it be by emulator, Ebay, mod chips, trading, or (GASP!) buying said games. You play text-based adventure games, you play card-based games, you might even play RPG pen-and-paper adventures. You've played nearly every game or every series that's come out and even if you hate a game, you still beat it and/or unlocked everything within it.
I consider myself to be a Veteran. I've been playing RPGs since the days of Final Fantasy 1 and Shadowgate and I've been a pretty avid rpg'er since then.
