FFT-The fight against Velius.
FE-Final Chapter (the first time I was very unprepared for it)
SO2-Against Vesper and Decus (I had no protection against fire, and Leon was dead [I accidentially left him on Expel to die] so I had no Ice/Water magic.)
Earthbound-The whole damn thing (this was my quest to beat the game with nothing but the Cracked Bat on Ness, Frying Pan on Paula, Toy Gun on Jeff, and Fists with Poo.)
more to come later...

FFT-Velius...the first time I fought him he was easy but every time after that he's been hard as hell.
7th Saga-I don't remember the name of the boss but he splits into three personas and then proceed to kick my ass....
those are all I can think of right now.

Decus and Vesper... Oh the horrible memories... A lot of battles in FFT are exceedingly difficult, if you arent prepared for them. I was the first time round, but Im not now, and I'm stuck trying to save Mustadio...

Time Craymel- ToD2 (forgot his name)
Kefka- ff6
Omega Weapon- ff8
Gravity
06-27-2004, 09:33 AM
Neh, Omega Weapon is easy if you have Hero (something like that), the spell Aura and Squall's limit break, Leonheart (it does about 100k+ damage).

were you not leveled up when you fought kefka Setzer? I've always thought he was easy. 8 blasts of Ultima and he's dead.

Sekundes (Time craymel) was hard the first time around, but i was like Lv60. The second time i fought him, i was Lv90, and he was a pansy-ass loser, lol. Even on Hardcore mode he wasnt that hard at LV90. Regulus Nereid, and even Shizel Nereid, are both hard fluckers on Hardcore mode, even at Lv90...

You're a serious leveler. For the rest of the common RPGer's I think it was a tough fight. For me and yaoi-boy it was anyway,

meh...
FFTA - Any and all battles with Llendar...thaat guy is annoying as hell..
Zelphiel
06-28-2004, 01:00 AM
Llendar wasn't much of a challenge to me. The FFTA battles were nothing compared to the battles in FFT.
Lancet Jades
06-28-2004, 01:05 AM
Llendar wasnt hard...but then again, i was over-leveled...

Heh...
I thought of another one....
Ever try to beat Deathevn in BoF2 before using Afinity? I spent about 4 days beating him and beating him before reading on the internet that you had to use a spell to actually be able to kill him.
Meh.

Hero Trials and Holy Wars i think their called, Aura squall max out eden on one character, doomtrain on another but dont boost and he falls like wheat to the scyhe.
Ricdeau
06-28-2004, 05:37 AM
Hero Trial is a possible invincibilty for one person and holy war trials fro everyone. Hero and Holy War always work, they make a person/party invincible for a while.

Yeah, but try beating Omega without them....THEN he's one hard mofo

beatrix owned me in ff 9 when you had to fight in in the capital city of freya's ppl..i was already sorta weakened by the antlion battle then she pops in right after that. i thought she'd be easy but that woman packs a punch...i wish i coulda got her in my party.
Zelphiel
07-14-2004, 10:48 PM
umm... dude. she's supposed to pwn you in that fight. you can't beat her.

07-14-2004, 10:54 PM
i thought you could beat her in that fight. then again i have not played ff 9 in quite sometime so maybe i'm just going senile. lol.
Zelphiel
07-14-2004, 10:56 PM
If memory serves me right... you can't beat her any of the times you fight her.
Lancet Jades
07-14-2004, 11:02 PM
Nope, you cant beat her. If you do actually "defeat" her, she'll just pull off her move anyways, and destroy you.
Zelphiel
07-14-2004, 11:05 PM
is it Shock or Stockbreak that she does to you at the end?
Lancet Jades
07-14-2004, 11:13 PM
The first 2 times its Stock Break, then the 3rd its Climhazzard

Ultemecia and all of her forms from Final Fantasy VIII was pretty damned hard to beat. Took me over an hour and a half, and all of my characters were at level 100. o_O
Chaos Theory
07-15-2004, 03:41 PM
well you do know that in FF VIII they had a level up system for the monster that was dependent on you. the higher level your guys weere the stronger and harder the monster were but with the Junction system they introduced it made the game very easy because you culd have a level 20 with powerful magic junctioned on to make his states like a level 100 and only be fighting monsters with a level 20 base well except for the monster on the islands and the weapons I believe are affected by the level base system

islands closet to heaven and hell are auto lvl 100 you use the lvl trick to get certain items from certain creatures at times. Eg Anacondeur drops say a mag piece, star fragment and dragon skin for lvls 1-29, 30-59, 60-100 respectively. If you want to stock up star fragments youd want to be prolly lvl 40 around dollet.

just to add to this...
the fight against Freya in SO3 is also very hard.

I think Ultemicia from ff8 was ez(hero/Holy War).Velius in FFt however is very hard.I have gone many times all the way through the game and he still takes me several attempts to beat.I usually monk him to death or something, try to shoot him with a gun.Altima

The Patriarch in Xenosaga 2 is pretty difficult, unless you use Jin/Ziggy/KOSMOS. Everyone else's HP is so low they're a liability.
Actually, Inversion was easily the hardest boss in all of Xenosaga 2.
Zelphiel
02-25-2005, 01:40 AM
oh, so you've fought all the extras?
Lancet Jades
02-25-2005, 02:03 AM
oh, so you've fought all the extras?
No...the extras I've fought so far...Rod Blondel, Grips Sister, and Wraith Virus, are all Gnosis enemies that are parts of sidequests. They weren't all that hard (well, Grips Sister kinda was, but nothing I couldn't easily overcome).
Inversion is a boss in the final area that you have to fight in the ES's. Its so tough because it can deal ungodly amounts of damage (especially through Counterboosting), and only one ES is capable of healing. Unless you're lucky, its extremly hard to defeat him while not getting slaughtered yourself.

Omega (FF5, and now FF1 DOS)
I had such a hard time fighting him... in both games, although I remember him being harder in FF5.
