Close Calls

Has anyone ever had to face a tough enemy and it came down to the wire?
I mean u thought u had this thing under control and then something happens thats throws your plan to victory way off?

OR..................

How about when a enemy is so hard and u barely win with just one character alive with 1hp left of his or her life!

When this happens, isn't this like the most important time in the world?
Let's just say this is a situation for u, how do u deal with annoying distractions?

i kinda like it when that happens...like when i tryied to bet FF4 for the first time, i won but i only had like 5hp left lol, it was so close..i remember my bro's where in my room=/ and wouldnt shut up...thats WHY i almost died lol....it doesnt happen alot, but when it does it kinda makes it better, like you could have died but won...so great ^_^

same here. Zeromous did big bang and killed everyone but Cecil and Edge (kain was low on life when it happened or else he'd be alive too). I was shocked when Edge hit him and he died.

lol my living charecter was kain...Cecil and Edge both died...lol...now when i play that game a save alot...only because of this lol, when i play games i hardly ever save other then FF4 and FF6 lol

I beat Zeromus with ONLY Kain. Jume, elixir, jump, elixir...

OTher than that, it never happens to me. I either win with my part in semi-good condition, or i'm annihilated. whenever i'm down to the wire, i try to restore my party, so i usually get killed >_>

in GS: doom dragon killed everyone cept Isaac, i had isaac use revive on Mia, next turn, isaac dies. mia use water of life on Isaac, then she dies. Isaac use revive, then finally, a turn when no one dies, i revive ivan and Garet, then continue to beat down Doom Dragons ass

I was playing the last boss, Rimsala, in Arcana and for some reason every turn she decided to use Attribute 11 which is the strongest spell in the game..I had beaten her many times before but this time she nearly killed me. All of my spirit cards were killed and Rooks had 10 HP so I decided to just go out in a blaze of glory. I attacked her but it tuned out that was all I needed so I scraped by that time with my 10 remaining HP

she can be tough anyway, if you aren't leveled up high enough. the biggest pain is just getting through that dungeon.

I used to have that dungeon memorized...yeah ....I was obsessed with that game for a while.

I always get a little confused in the ice mines... There's one place just after you get Axs back that splits and I always go the wrong way.

The first time I played throught there I got sooo lost. I had to warp back to town a dozen times..lol

I"ve had alot of close calls in fire emblem too.

Humbaba in X-2 took 2 hours to kill with just one dark knight left on 24hp, in all honesty i left it to do one attack to take a piss and came back and its dead. Needless to say my mouth hit the floor and i did a tribal dance.

Fox Face / Seraphic Radience.......... ............. ................ ..........dirty dirty jew of a thing. Its basically one character against 2 since the battle immediately leads on and damn im surprised my tv isnt broken with the amount of times my controller has hit it followed by the words 'YOU F'ING SON OF A F'ING ....*random gibberish*'

Zeromus...let me tell you one thing, if you hate kain as much as i do dont be a stubborn fool and kill him off on purpose lol it doesnt work.

now the one i thought i had under control was with the friken gabriel celest thingy in SO2 (why do i always forget its name) a lvl 255 party 9999HP and 999MP 999 efficiency on their specialities Pwning the complete **** out of it then BAM3 characters in red health, BAM 3 characters dead and **** i spent the next maybe hour running around like a chicken with its head cut off reviving and healing my fallen characters before finally realising i was out of healing items then proceeded to scrape in by tehskin of my teeth.

Now distractions, take Lightning dodging for instance that takes precision to get 200 in a row. I was at 40, door closed music off curtains drawn, complete solitude. Then the door opened just before a flash, instinctively i looked thn thought crap light and pressed x just in time. Then the phone call oh joy they called me every 5 mins to try and stuff me up but considering i could hear the lighting and see the lightning i was able to complete it. Use the sense that were given to you lol

I always do stuff like that really late at night when there's little chance of anything happening.

I'm in a close call right now. I'm fighting the Antlion on FFCC. I'm out of healing items, and only have a Cure magicite left. I'm using a Lilty, so spellcasting is horribly slow. Its down to about 5% HP, and its two Scorpion allies are alive. All of its attacks do at LEAST 50% damage to me, usually more, so after just one hit on me, i have to heal or be killed.

It doesnt get closer than this...or does it? Btw, I'm also convienently (for him) poisoned...

I remember doing the lightning dodging..I had all the lights off. My TV screen is really dark so that was the best way for me to see everything.

I had a close call in Fire Emblem today... I was doing (I think ch 25) the one that you recruit Harken... anyway, a wyvern lord reduced Ravens hp to 1, and in the same turn Guy's hp was reduced to 1 by a Nomad Trooper. I was sweating bullets because I don't like to reset my game unless I absolutely have to, and I'm still working on my "perfect" game, so I didn't want to loose anyone.

I beat One Winged Angel with Cloud alive with 1 HP (Fallen Angel)

I was like.. O.O YAY!

My close calls include Tir being the only member alive during the battle against that ice ball where Ted gives you his soul. Another 1 was at the end of Suikoden V where with 1 attack 2 of my people were dead (Richard and Cathari) and luckily I had Kyle with a flowing rune on the sidelines and I brought him in and he revived Richard and he helped me to win the match. Also everytime I beat Zeromus it was a very close fight.

I can't rememberany specific time, but sometimes what happens to me is that every character is dead except 1, and instead of reviving them, I hit the boss/enemy and it dies with just that one hit. I hate that a lot.

Oh, I also hate when you revive a character, and then the boss hits them and they die again.
