Alice in Chains could do it I guess... they're the only band you listed that I used to listen to... well, some of the Smashing Pumpkins stuff....

heh...given im a metallica fan...some older songs of theirs, minus vocals(vocals kick ass, but would ruin games), would be great,...i listen to either metallica or Ozzy anytime i play starcraft...so you could say i already have a soundtrack :D

I always pictured an old school industrial band like KMFDM doing a starcraft soundtrack.

The Meatmen would work for any game where bone crushing is the norm. Used to crank it up when playing Road Rash

the only actual rock song in an rpg that i can think of is otherworld in ff10 but its a damn good song

Galvatron I agree with ya that Dream Theater would make a kick @$$ game soundtrack, I'd buy the game just for the music. lol

hell yeah! John Petrucci wailing on the guitar would make almost any game worth buying.

I would say Fear Factory even though they broke up a few years ago, Pantera, Metallica, Linkin Park, and possibly Slipknot and White Zombie.

hell yeah. Pantera is my favorite heavy band of all time. Slipknot is... well, some of their stuff is really good :chuckle
and White Zombie is one of the first bands I ever got into, I could see them doing the music for a FPS game, or something like that.
