What games do you think have had great endings?

Chrono Trigger: A variety of endings, and the main ones were good.

.hack: The 4th one had a very good ending.

I like the ending to suikoden 2. I also like the ending to FF6. Chrono Trigger had good endings. The best ending on Disgaea is pretty good.

Two words and a number: Final Fantasy 8. BEST. RPG. ENDING. EVER!
Although I bet FFs VI and down would have just as exciting ending if they were 3D >_< I can't believe I just said that...

8s was ok, dont get me wrong. It just wasnt the best ever IMO.

Warcraft 3 roc & tft ^_^ the detail on mannorath, thrall and hellscream was immaculate as wlel as the ending to the ne saga at roc and the siege of Dalran in the undead. o0o sends shivers down my spine lol

The constructor ending was funny as hell also.

I agree with you about CT. It has one of my favorite endings ever.
If you want a good ending, finish .hack, lol. I was surprised about how good it was, albeit a tad predictable...

kotor had very good endings though the best u get for playing lightside resembles the end of star wars very closely as you and your friends are presented with medals of heroism by the jedi council. still i had gotten bastilla to fall in love with my character so i felt pimpin. lol. ff2 (4 in japan) had a wonderful ending as did the lunar games. it's funny but the newer games i've played accept with rare exceptions don't have as good endings as the games of old.

FFTA, 2 out of the 4 GB FFs + FF10 all had bad ones, but other then them FF has done pritty good i think

Ace Combat 4's ending was pretty good. Not the best ever, but still good. It was a somewhat predictable ending to the story but was nonetheless good lol.

Yeah I liked FFX's ending. Alot of people didn't but I liked it because it was kinda sad. I think Phantasy Star 2 has a sad ending too.

I'm positive that FFX had the best ending that I've ever seen.
It was ok, but not the best. Fortunately, due to how theatric the entire game was, at least it pretty much gave insurance the ending wouldnt be awful, lol

yeah, I guess so... most games now have decent endings unlike the "You Won!" message at the end of older games.

I liked the ending of Lunar Legend (only Lunar game I've played...)! FFX had a good ending too...so sad...

I've never played Lunar Legend. ONly lunar game i havent played :chuckle

And, FF10 was basically a game-movie, which is why the ending was so good. I liked it ^_^

I like the Kingdom Hearts ending. It was so beautiful and musical, I cannot wait for the second KH to come out...

I'd have to say that Xenogears had the best ending I've ever seen.

Hell, once I got myself a copy o fthat game, i twas what stole so much free time away from me so that I never got on EF...well...that and I just kinda sketched out, but that's off-topic.

I probably liked the ending to Xenogears so much, though, because I worked the hardest for that ending. I was still in my blooming years of RPGing, so Deus was a bit of a doozy to get rid of.

But then again, just how easy IS it to kill a God?

Well the only one I ever got said YOU LOSE and it showed Lavos destroying the world, I must have done really well to get that ending! No, just kidding my favorite ending is the one where you can talk to the programmers.
