Fav RPG for NES

Ok just like the name implies just name the RPG you thought was best and give two or three reasons. (you can use emulated games just as long as they are for NES)

I pick Final Fantasy 3, because it was the first NES game I beat, my nes broke before I got old enough to auctually sit down and play a game through, and It's primitive ideas that lead to the concepts used in games today.

Ok its not really a game I played on NES but I don't care.

hmm.... I didn't really get into rpgs until the SNES era, but I played the hell out of shadowgate. It's still one of the most challenging rpgs around.

Faxanadu is another game that I used to, and still play sometimes. It's a game that I think is overdue for a remake... or at least a port to the gba.

ah yes but Zelda is catagorized by Nintendo as and action/rpg so it could go either way.

It's more or less action/adventure then action/RPG. The older ones IMO are somewhataction/RPG. Since they're not 3D-ish. The newer ones are different, since you are able to move 360 degree and jumping from here to there.

To me, Action is combative. Adventure is where you explore, you get to jump here and there. RPG is magically...

faxanadu is listed as a 2d platformer, action, adventure and rpg. Of course the platformer apect ios because theres no evident word map beised the word tree, and the action adventure is simply because of the way the stats are done. BUT by every definition it still is an rpg JUST that your 'stats' are raised by weapons and armour, your hp and mp are dependant on rank which is dependant on exp. :afro

Faxnanadu is an old game. It came out back in 88 or 89. Back in the day it was considered an action RPG. Oh well those standards have changed over time because RPGs have become more elaborate. I miss my game....did the lead character even have a name?? I dont remember...
It's and action oriented, role-playing, platforming, adventure that everyone is sure to love!! ^_^...okay I'll stop now.
