Ok that may be a *slight* exageration. But, earlier today, after playing much Street Fighter Alpha 3, SF2: Turbo, Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves, and King of Fighters 98 with other people I know in a rather insane sunday beat em up marathon, the idea occured to me...Why not hold a fighters tournament here in EF? We all decide on an arcade-like beatemup to play, and we use an emulator that supports netplay (Like Winkawaks) to play it online against each other. WHAT SAY YOU?

idea was tested before with rts' rganising time periods where everyone was online and getting dedicated servers and whatnot (for non emu based) wasnt worth the effort.

actually atm thats up in the air sinc ei have to run it in 800x600 window mode which has about a 10mm offset of clicks whereas 1024x768 allows no scrolling down of the map via mouse methods and instead using the arrow keys. So my timing and such is off about 2-3 seconds of what it could be, which at the start of the match for the eldar means 1 less possible guardian squad, no seer council or firedragons till after a spce marine player already has their mechas.
Anywho the game was actually wc3 since bnet makes it easier to organise things via designated channels, hosting via opping and neutral servers (east - west america, europe, asia) it was the fact that only about 4 ppl wanted to do anything was the problem, and also the fact i wanted to capture the replays to create an actual fully fledged tournament thing.
EDITMIFIED: Also id porlly win that too since i can effectivly get Tauren & wyvern in 5 mins pwning any counter people might get, which would lead to targetting if a ffa format was adopted, and i dont so much as like to be targetted just cause id school most of you :P

Yeah but this isn't a WC3 topic, you know. >.>
Anyway, this idea seems to gain enough interest, lets see what I can pull up.

yeah... Kimiko, Tessa, Baka, and I tried organizing this very thing once before and it never happened.
time and kalliera server issues are always really problematic with these things.
btw... it's Garou: Mark of the Wolves. even though it's a technical sequal to Fatal Fury 3 it still has a different name.

Kalliera?

Kalliera?
Kalliera is the most prominent online emulation server available. It's compatable with almost everything emulation-based and is the most widely used server. If you want to play against some random person in pretty much whatever game you want, Kalliera is the server to use. Most emulators you download come pre-equipped with Kalliera, so you needn't search for a dll file.
There are other netplay servers, but none of them thus far are as good as Kalliera is (unless we're talking private servers created specifically by a single person for the purpose of playing with his/her friends) Granted, it still has it's share of problems, (larger or more graphically "heavy" games will crash or disconnect from the server much more frequently than you'd like. Mostly 3D games like a lot of PSX fighters) but it's still the "main" emulation netplay server
