Has or does anyone here build computers? Was the computer you are on built by you?
I haven't built a computer yet but I am wanting to. I want to build a gaming computer. It is gonna be tough and expensive but I still wanna try it.

I built the one I'm on right now, and only that one cuz I be poor.
But its kinda easy if you read the instructions in the motherboard booklet and have a little shit of intuitive skills.

yup and yup, did all the front panel as well which is why it most likelykicked up a stink and wouldnt turn on for a bit so i had to swap the power button with the reset button..i needa case with easier access to the front end.
oh and usb ports....i was retarded and got them with the individual endings instyead of the block, coi that too a whole 40mins to plug in and make working saince i fucked up 2 of the connections at first and didnt know which ones.
At the moment im waiting to upgrade and finding a case wher ei can mod it.

i've built four computers. I don't really mod them but I've researched cooling a lot since my first comp I built had cooling issues (still does) mostly cause the case has one fan. I've learned my lesson. The main thing you need to think about when building a computer is what are you going to do with it. if gaming then you want components that will game with but you also need good cooling cause that shit will heat up, just to surf the web you can buy a motherboard with all the stuff you need like sound and video. Also keep it simple your first build cause you don't you'll regret it. Oh.. and I had the same problem with the usb ports too. heh.

I put the second hard drive and replaced the video card in my case. That's about it. I know how to dismantle all the other parts, though.
Like Outer Limits said, just read the manual if you're unfamiliar with computer assembly.

I've never built a computer, but if the chance arises, I would know how. The computer I'm on is premade, though I've owned a built computer in the past.

Yes, I have built one. In fact, it is the one I am using at this very moment. Originally, my friend and I built it, but we started running across some issues with the hardware. We swapped out some components, trying to figure out the exact problem. After contemplating on the issue, I decided that the problem was the motherboard. So, I bought myself an ASUS to replace the MSI one I had, then I had to replace my hard drive(since the other one was formatted with my MSI motherboard). After replacing those two items, my PC worked quite smoothly. Most recently, my ATI RADEON 9500 graphics card decided to fuck up on me(I believe something is wrong with the fan), so I replaced it with an NVIDIA GeFORCE MX 4000, then replaced that with an NVIDIA GeFORCE FX 5200. Once again, everything works as it should.
Currently, my PC specs are as follows:
System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2
Registered to:
Name
Organization
*****-***-*******-*****
Computer:
AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+
2.16GHz, 512 MB of RAM
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe Motherboard
Thermaltake VOLCANO 10+ Slim AMD 3000+ CPU Cooler
NVIDIA GeFORCE FX 5200
Sound Blaster Live! Dolby Digital 5.1 Sound Card
NETGEAR FA311 Fast Ethernet Adaptor (disabled; I use the motherboard's Fast Ethernet port)
Standard Floppy Disk Drive
Hitachi Deskstar Internal Hard Drive (80GB)
Samsung CD-R/RW
Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX (webcam)
EPSON STYLUS PHOTO R220 (printer)
If you want to know anything else, just ask.

your friend being me of course. Love how you didn't mention it lol.

thats the easy stuff but you're on the right path. Dismantling is easy, step one: Take a bat. Step two: beat the hell out of your computer. There, your comp is dismantled.

Yes, this bitching fucker was the one who helped me do the initial build. I, however, was the one that solved the hardware issues. I still love you though...maybe... :chuckle

bah why use a bat, just put one hand on each side then headbutt the thing on the sideflap closest to the mobo and BAM eventually youre gonna dismantle it or KO yourself.

You'd be surprised what $500 can get you. I built a good friend a computer for that much as a christmas gift one year sucks cause his comp runs better then mine. Bastard.
