Bleach Licensed ?
There are currently reports going around, stemming from this article (http://www.c21media.net/news/detail.asp?area=5&article=28732) on C21 Media, that Viz has "licensed" Bleach (TV). Due to the fact that the article quotes staff at Viz Media BV in Europe and that Viz holds international rights for many titles that it has not decided to release in North America, Anime News Network is waiting for confirmation from Viz before reporting that the Bleach (http://www.evermoreforums.com/forums/) is "licensed" for release in North America.

I had also heard a rumor Funimation was going to be licensing it... but that was a while ago. I really dont know what to think about this... Viz has done some decent ones and some really bad ones...

im personaly happy with the dubbing done to Naruto, its shot down so quick because of the fact no one wants to even give the dub a chance, if you sit and actualy listen to it and judge it naruto is done rather well... not the best but enough that it dosnt ruin the anime.

Its only logical for Viz to also pick up bleach since they do run Shonen Jump, they seem to like releasing the dub for them... excluding ones like one piece which get picked up by 4Kids *bleh*

I just prefer Funimation or ADV.

What worries me would be where it goes... it will be butchered if they try to fit it onto Toonami... the storyline is way too complex.

Bleach and naruto story wise are about the same when it comes to the complexitys of it all.

Naruto may have bin edited but viz fully intends to release an Unedited Home DVD version that you can buy in stores si the fact of what they do to it for public television dosnt matter a bit to me.

And Bleach is a bit hard even for me to figure out... Naruto I had a pretty good grasp on the whole time...

thats about the normal amount of time, they always license FAR before its actual release date due to editing, dubbing and the various other legal things that are intaled in getting the anime here

Other thing is that this same site reported a rumor that Hunter x Hunter was being licensed... 3 years ago.
