debt collectors and harassment.

i had a confrontation with debt collectors today. a few years ago i went to college. as most of you know loans are not free and overtime they collect interest. anyway, i have a history of bi-polar disorder and depression. not too long ago i got disability and have recieved it regularly. for awhile i was under the impression that loan companies could not collect on your debts if a. you make below income (i pull in only alittle over 500 dollars a month) and b. if you have some sort of permanent disability (bipolar counts as this). well today this woman from great lakes loans called saying either i'm forced to pay $60.00 dollars a month or that if i did not agree she had the ok of the federal goverment to take away 63% percent of my disability check until my $7000.00 debt is paid. this greatly agitated me. for one, i can't afford to pay 60.00 dollars a month (trust me its alot of money when you only pull in 500.00 something a month) and b. if 63% of my disability money was taken i'd not even have enough to survive efficiently each month. now i've tried the whole legal thing. i tried getting my doc to sign forms as well as my therapist unfortunatelly the organization that provides mental health services is under new management and things are in chaos.(it's quite obivous neither my doc or therapist have had the time to send off the forms i gave to them) i guess i'm just going to have to get legal representation and hope for the best. so do any of you know what rights i have? also have any of you been threatend by a loan or debt agency?

if your getting a check, and they are the ones going to let that check go to someone else..get em, they dont have that right, the money by all rights is yours and only yours and noone can get it but you, they can make you pay yes. but its you that has to give them the money, dont let the full you, its a lie

another thing is this, all you have to do is call youre states office man, they will send in all the papper work you need to make this stop, if there are just lieing to you, you can get loads of cash from them just for that, because they dont have the rigths like the cops to lie to you just to get you to pay

other then that, get a layer and tell him everything, he can call the states office and get stuff done, and also if your doc's are helping anyone but you, there breaking he law and thats more money for you lol, cause they have no rights to even tell anyone there your doc..

yeah well..being in court so many times, and the fact that whats going on with you is going on with my big bro..helps...but it sucks that i found out the hard way how to do all this =/

and the fact that before i started college for being a preacher i was in it for law =/...lol

hey do you got a cool cross gun cannon thingy? all preachers should have one of those. lol. my friend jimmy became a preacher over joining the airforce. he was so much happier having found his true calling. i'm glad you found your calling too laggy. i may not agree with you %100 mind you but i think spirituality is a good thing none the less.

lol no, i dont have a cross gun whatever lol, im from the babtist church, then i found my own views and branched off lol, im not cathlic, im an evangelist, the type that preaches strictly from the bible and what i get out of what its saying, no ties with the church or any of there own "church laws" and rules...its like a moving preacher, who goes all over to preach only the bible lol...

i do have siome crosses mind you, just nothing really cool...I also have a painting of Jesus that is from the catholic church lol, most none but Catholics have them

lol no it wouldnt, i;d say with the right schooling, 7 to 10 years lol...but some dont get the right schooling and it takes them like 4 lolol
