Problems with Organized Religion

I did, it was this sudden realization that it was all bull****. I wasn't sure what it meant at first but I came to the conclusion that it meant that religion was all bull****. But as I come closer to my 18th birthday I'm beginning to realize only now that it wasn't relgion I hated... it's Chritianity. It's all backwards and outdated, but from what I gather, religion isn't like that in a general sense, it doesn't have to be.

iyts not religion or Chritianity one should hate, its the church, the church is what makes there own rules and "laws" and add to what religion really is, some churches or ok mind you, but i find its only the churches that dont add in there own rules and "laws" of the church, and the ones that dont judge you, and wont turn anyone away...i go to a church that welcomes anyone at all, of any type of religion or church, any type of people, a come as you are church...it seems to me that this is what happends, a church full of there own things, "church things' makes people hate religion, when really, if you believe in somthing, and know where you stand, you dont really need a church to tell you how to stand on it

Yes, thats the reason i don't care for churches either. I've always beleived that all that formal crap and having people in positions of religious power was stupid. That's why i consider myself a Deist rather than a christian, for no other reason than that.

well, this is also why im not going to be a preacher, like..not a paster of a church...just an Evangelist, so that i'll have no ties in any church, and have that freedom that cjurches take away lol

well remember what jesus himself said about churches and holy rollers. lol. you carry god with you in your heart thus your spirit is your church. though i'm pagan i do agree with many teachings in the new testament...i just don't agree with the way they are interpreted and practiced by the masses.

nah. i was just jokin really...my gf is the only angel for me...as for the other angel and devil girls loving me or not..i suppose it depends on how i treat them. also you can love in more ways then the lusty sex crazed variety. lol.

True, but ultimately, the lusty sex-crazed variety is what people want, even if they love the person anyways

i suppose though i have known very attracive girls and the type of love i felt for them was more or less how a brother would love a sister. perhaps i'm a little strange though.

yeah even pagans get full of themselves when they get organized into a large coven. i know this high priestess lady passion and she thinks she has the right to judge who are true pagans and who are poser pagans. pretty much in her opinion poser pagans dress goth or flashy and ware their necklaces for all to see. now granted i'm not one for dog and pony shows but i do know very nice wiccans and pagans that are goth or alittle flamboyant. should they be called false just because of the way they dress? personally i do not think so. noone has a right to judge really and spirituality means something alittle different from person to person. no one person or group should be able to tell other ppl how to worship. besides just look what this woman calls herself..lady passion...to me that just screams "look at me! i'm special!" yet she bashes other pagans that try to stand out. ah, isn't hypocricy grand?

Thats more or less my view on it. I used to call myself a chsirtian despite questioning everything, which isnt very christian of me. That's why i decided to become...or rather...decided that actually was a Deist. Deists beleive in a "God", but also beleive that it is up to humans to choose their actions, that people should make their own decisions about life, religion, etc, as wsell as letting other people make their own decisions, and respecting them. I'm a Deist in terms of beliefs. It isnt so much i decided to be Deist one day, i just realized that my belief system was that of one. I still hold strongly to Christians beliefs and 'rules' but I make my own decisions about things, and let others do the same.
