I personally don't like Metroid Prime, while it may be first person I don't really consider it a shooter, but more or less an action/adventure game. My favorite shooters are Goldeneye and Timesplitters 2. TS2 is probably my best investment because I've probably spent 50 hours playing multi with friends.

it's kind of both... sort of. I consider it to be a FPS because it's in first person.

You just mentioned one genre of shooters, there's two genres. Those are good games for first person. There's many more in the 3rd person section.

Well I would say the best 3 for PS2 are Fire Warrior, Red Faction, and Red Faction 2. For Xbox, Halo and mainly those are the only fps I play as of so far.

I would go with Goldeneye as the best.

2nd best though I like to play would easily be Agent Under Fire. Playing multiplayer with grappling hooks got me called Spiderman =P

Agent Under Fire was a very awful game. If you want a game with good single player and multiplayer that is Bond, play Nightfire. MUCH MUCH better game there.

for me it'd be halo. though i suck at halo. lol. i think i liked it simply because it had a sci fi twist and you could get in vehicles. the james bond shooters were ok but i don't like the spy genre. carn-evil in the arcades was also a great shooter with a macabre twist.

Red Faction: Was ok, but i liked the little sticky charges... those rocked.
Halo 2: THE ULTIMATE SHOOTER YET.... i said YET ok, not EVER.
TimeSplitters2: was funny to look at, because of the 126 playable guys. and gals. and the funny-lookin guns.
Conkers BFD: Its all right. but the N64 controller is just too awkward nowadays...
Max Payne: ..... bullet time. all i need to say.

I think it was called Vampire Night...Or something. It was on the PS2...I haven't played it since the day it came out...So I don't remember...Besides the Time Crisis games (Of course ^_^) That has to be my favorite!! I had more fun playing that than I did any other game!

I didn't even think about the halo games...>.> i guess they're OK, but i've never REALLY played them besides going somewhere far away to play a multiplayer and kick ass anyway...it seems to me they're kind of overrated, but like i said i've never REALLY played them...
