Im dreading a reinstall as i have too much crap on here to actually lose =/

The basics is i went and downloaded slysofts clonecd from their main website and after i had installed it windows popped up with an error saying i had spyware:

Upon resetting it automatically installed some fucked up crap called spy sheriff and changed my desktop, locked it as blue with a text in the middle saying windows says i have spyware and its trying to rectify the problem. However as any git would know, windows doesnt act like a malicious program, its just bugged to hell.

Since then i went into the registry and deleted the locking desktop options so i can change my desktop once again, however i still get that error above popping up every 5-10 seconds.

Its since pwnzord my ie but hasnt touched mozilla (ho hum i wonder if its using internet eexplorer as an exploit) and as soon as this started happening aim showed that i had mail yet wont load the page or anything of the sorts.

Since then ive run:

trend micro 2005 fully updated for viruses and its found nada
trend micro 2005 security exploits, nada, spyware, 5 cookies
adaware, it found 1 registry key
xsoft and it found 71 exploits (most of which i deleted in safe mode)

Since deleting those windows has had problems showing the firewall controls.

Personally i think theres a link between the aim email and the trojans and malware. So if anyone at all could help on the situation, your help would be much appreciated.

EDIT1: apparantly the redx is caused by winstall.exe which is generated by the spybot-cy worm and is listed as a trojan/virus, leads me to believe that my trend micro could also be part of the problem =/

lol, sounds like a window's fail safe...or you coulda gotten hacked >.>

i suggest you go to like webroot.com and use their free scan, there might be something like that on norton.com, i know windows has some new beta anti spyware or something like that

either way, if your pc is hacked download a anti-virus/spyware program (from microsoft.com/downloads <--- thats probly the best free and fast thing you could get, unplug your pc from the internet, and run the program you downloaded)

but if your hacked then you would have to do a whole bunch of shit, reset your ip (which alone would take like an hour), all together i'd say it's a decent day's work >.>

trend micro is an antivirus, with wi fi detection, so currently the only pc connected ot my network is my router :P believe me ive been hacked before and it isnt that.

And no if it was a windows fail safe they wouldnt lock the desktop into a fixed image and screw around with ie or windows firewall, they also wouldnt install spyware checkers upon reinstall without any prompting.
