First off, if youre dumb, or have ADD, dont buy lumines. If you dont fall into one of those categories get this game.
Lumines is fast paced puzzle action based around the decievingly simple concept of making squares. You get four blocks of two colors, randomly arranged, and have to stack them together to make squares of the same color. you can add 1x2 rectangles onto any side of the square for a bonus. Every time you make a square those pieces delete, pretty much the goal of the game is to delete as many as you can without losing. There is a challenge mode where you unlock backgrounds and the online capability pits you up against other players, where for every one you delete their space to put blocks closes in, forcing them upward, towards defeat.
Everybody who I've showed this game says "Is this some sort of gay tetris" even after i explain it. YOU CANT MAKE TETRIS GAYER! just kidding. but seriously, it doesnt take many more than 6 brain cells to understand the concept, although maybe i shouldnt say that, because while its easy to understand its difficult to be good at, and i dont want Mr. Dumbass bitchin at me cuz he lost 30 bucks. This is a beautiful and enjoyable game that i am frankly hooked on, im gonna play it now.
A psp masterpiece, Lumines gets my 10/10 for being a puzzle game with unlockables and "cute" (theres no other way to put it) character icons (also unlockable)
The music sucks though, play some rap and turn the volume on your psp down whenever you play Lumines.
