Oh god... not this again...

I think that the earlier episodes sorta set the standard for the rest of anime in general. Thinking back, I did like Cell and Buu as well, but it lost alot of its meanng by then, and it would have been an amazing ending if Goku finally, after all those years, killed someone that was unfogivable, and died on Namek.

I still need to write that fanfic where there are no dragonballs at all...

These are shows selected by the japanese... those are so-so shows, and american.

BTW my favorite HxH came in 33rd or 32nd ^^
But what makes no sense to me is that Berserk isn't on there at all! That doesn't make a bit of sense! Damn kiddies getting scared away by the demons that made even the goddess of fear almost piss in her pants...

oh well i'm not too surprised from the list. Only things that caught my eye was Yugi-Oh is missing and Maison Ikkoku made the list. Figured Yugi would be huge out there but Maison Ikkoku was a pleasant surprise b/c the manga was pretty good. One Piece is suppose to be pretty good but i think scenes got cut and it was really dumbed down. FMA being ranked first is just unbelievable. I thought the anime was pretty good but wow.

Is Cowboy Bebop really missing from that list?! Furi Kuri is not on there either... but then with their utterly inapropriate voice acting for that show in japanese its no wonder. Still, a pity show like Bobobo beating Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and FLCL is just wrong...

And Bleach's list is exactly why I hate American Media.

true. and sometimes what looks like poor quality is intentional and not just because the studio is way underbudget.

I don't know about it being on the bottom of the list though. Quality has got to have more than a little bit of pull I would think.

generaly thats what makes a good story odd things like this work more then just a war story.

and as Magical Princess said Robotech dosnt have the rediculsely made up metal that makes there suits almost indestructable, the ONLY gundam series I will every give credit to is 08th team since they only had the mass produced series of gundams and not the insanly strong ones

It's the same cycle for most animes and if that isn't redundant, I have no clue what is, I have watched a few animes and I don't really enjoy them all that much.

Yeah, I watched DBZ for a while found out it sucked and was redundant. I've only really like one anime but it was too short, Cowboy Bebop kicked ass, they should've made it longer than 27 episodes. At least that show had a cool plot, nothing cooler than a bounty hunter kicking ass with guns. Spike reminded me of Boba Fett a little maybe that's why I liked it.

What is "Most" animes? Ever try Evanglion, Ranma 1/2, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Piece, any Miyazaki film, or Berserk?

The reason why alot of anime may seem redundant is because almost every story follows a basic outline. Hell, there are only 37 possible storylines possible in the world. What causes things to be interesting is the characters and what happens in between the fighting the bad guy, as well as the way the bad guy is fought. That is why I dont like live action, there's only so much that you can do without making it look fake or going way over the budget, especially the fight scenes.

What you described was DBZ. That is a terrible anime because there isn't really anything in between the fights aside from training. Not much character development either.

Just try Fullmetal Alchemist or Evangelion. I dare you. Don't watch it on Adult Swim just yet since they're too far into the series at the moment, either download it or wait for it to go back to the beginning again. I'd even pay you to do it if it weren't such a pain in the ass to send money to someone far away.
