In short, this game is behind the times. It kept my interest well enough... but it was still a terrible game. I remember caling the programmers quacks at numerous points in the game. The gameplay is something I would expect from the Super Nintendo/Genesis days.
The major problem in this game is not enough story, TOO MUCH SEX APPEAL. It seems this game was made only for sex appeal, with the too-short kimono and thong, and tight black clothes later in the game. Every time you look up or crawl into a small space, you get a thong shot. This disgusts me, personally. If you want sex appeal, go rent a porno.
It was rather difficult, but in a bad way. Its one of those games that you get pissed off at for not jumping when you tell it to (since the game takes a while to process your commands >.<) I had to look up how to beat a few bosses, and they were still challenging. But they were a bit too difficult, since you are given no clues as to how to beat them.
On a side note, there is one level that I spent a full day trying to beat. I hept seeing images of that Buddha statue as I tried to sleep.
There's NO replay value, since once you beat the game, you're done with it, unless you want to go on a higher difficulty level. There are minimal secret areas, and no bonus stages after you beat the game.
One thing I must give this game credit for... its poorly planned design gave me the inspiration for a comedy about ninjas, which I have posted here.
If you want a stealth platformer... go play Tenchu.
