Fav Fighting Game or Fighting Game Series

Which Fighter is your favorite. Mine is Soul Calibur 2. I've, literally, been obsessed with it since it's release in 2002. I'm also a huuuge fan of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Guilty Gear XX.

letsee the first fighter i had was Mortal Kombat and it was pretty damn good so i still enjoy it, but also i quite liked X-Men v Streetfighter.. havent been into fighting games since the ps2 came out..OH and there was this one game on the nes or snes which was a port from the arcade gah i forget the name of it though was the first i played but couldnt find it to own it.

if you like that you need Marvel vs Capcom 2. It's like XMen vs Streetfighter but infinitely better and waaaay more chaotic.

Soul Calibur 2 (which my brother lost...both the game that he owned, and the video store's) and Capcom Vs. Snk (I think) Though I never learned how to play...exactly... AND THEN HE GAVE IT AWAYYYY ;.; ;.; ;.;

The Tekken Series Is Great, Too. Except For Tekken Tag Tournament....

what's wrong with TTT????? I think it's the best Tekken, especially in tournaments.

TTT is fun, but it could use a story. It has none. I like games with a plot. Hmm. Im not sure what the story was for MvC2 either. Xel'Naga can tell me.

Guilty Gear X 2 is the GREATEST FIGHTING GAME EVER! GWAHAHA! Acually, I think it might be the greatest game ever. Its up there with THUG and Dynasty Wariors 4. Anyway....

Could I be the oficial Guilty Gear know it all of ef. That would be cool. Me = Beat survival mode.

riiiight... :D I did do a double take when I saw that though. and, I'm not sure if MvC2, TTT, or CvS2 have a story....... I'll look it up and see if I can find anything. the people that would definitely know are Excalibur, Black Magic, Crazy Jamie, and BeefButcher88 at GW.

story does help, but me being the fighter fiend that I am... story isn't the most important thing. if it's a good fighting game, I'll just go with that. and for TTT, I always thought it's story would be somewhere along the story of Tekken 3.

I used to own that, but I realized its nothing compared to GGX2, so I sold it to a guy in a shoe store next to gamestop.

it was on SNES and Genesis. I have the SNES version. It was a Shaq fighting game.....

Of course he gave me a better deal, because all those places like Gamestop and Funco Land or what ever would probaby give me about 3 bucks for it. Maybe 5. Im serious too. I sold 3 games to the guy at the shoe store for about 22 bucks. It was good, because the games I sold him got boring. Road Rage, TTT, and CvS2. Hmm, but now Im wondering if I shouldent have done that. I want a nice selection of fighting games for when my friends sleep over.

Anyway, friends coming over reminds me. Rival Schools is another GREAT fighting game. I should buy it. And a new PS1 memory card. I have one of those crappy mad catz ones.

My favorite is soul calibur 2. As for tournaments, I don't think I'm good enough for that.

Rival schools is way cool man! A lot of the characters are awesome. I like Deigo and Edge best. Also the sports mini games are cool. For favourite though, i think I go for either Soul Caliber 2 or Tekken 4. All of the tekken game focus on winning the tournament, but Tekken 4 had a LOT more storyline. And theres the whole kazuya devil Jin heihachi evil corporation and ****... great game. Lee Chaolan rulezzz.... behind Hwoarang and Steve.

lol, yeah. any story that has Kazuya in it will be good. I think it would have been better if Namco put Kazuya in SC2 instead of Heihachi. His devil persona would have kicked ass in it.

Anyone ever see the Tekken anime? It r0><0rs... Its like a mix of a great storyline and a fighting game and anime! The fights are cool, there are like these invisible dinosaurs and kazuya grabs one of them by the mouth and tears its jaws apart.

yeah. it's been about 5 years since I've seen it, but I remember it being really good. I think the same people that made the Tekken anime also made the Tohshinden and Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer animes.

i was actually a bit disappointed in it since all it did was practically take the characters and their feuds and place them on an island with ...robo dinos? could you call them lol and then yeah i didnt see much story relevance also.

the best anime made from a fighting game is the street fighter anime... the series isn't bad either.
