I'm not saying that rap is bad... I have no issues against listening to it. I just prefer rock and heavy metal.... more of the latter than anything.

a little off topic, but you should check out a band called Orphaned Land idgaf. I know you like old school metal, so you should dig them. They're a "mystical, middle eastern, hebrew, metal band"...

they're definately interesting. one of the most unique metal bands I've ever heard. the album that I have is called Mabool, the story of the three sons of seven. I don't know if there are any others...

that's something that you really shouldn't do... especially with underground bands. unlike metallica, they actually DO need the money from album sales to survive.

It depends on where you get it. If you bought it from them it would probably be $10-15. That's usually what underground bands sell their albums for. I got it for $12 at hastings.

I don't see overall better musical qualities from rap than I do rock. While there may be exceptions on both sides, rock just tends to have more musicality, which is what I like.

Rock though causes great damage in the ears, many young men's ears are basically retired before they get a job, because their hearing is like a 60 year old man, thanks to rock.

That's why I prefer neither rap nor rock, but classical music :)
