Manga

For my Module 4 Art course in Upper Sixth, I want to look at the human form. As I told my teacher I wanted to go into concept design for game and film, she told me to look at manga.

Now, I don't know much about manga, so could some people give me an informed opinion on it? Or any good manga sites that delve into it's history/background etc? Also, any manga that seems to concentrate solely on the female/male form?

But listen - I don't want no hentai or any of that weird stuff. I'm looking at the human form in a tasteful way people, not porn or voyeurisism. I'm asking here because I guessed people would know more about manga here than in the art forum.

If you want to know more.....theres books about how to draw manga. Called "How to draw manga". Should eb at a local bookstore in either the section that sells japanese manga and what not..or the art book section. For here its under the art section at the bookstore.
