why won't my characters in PB gain exp after lv 100?

All characters start with a level cap of 100. To grow them further, you have to combine other characters or items into them. That raises their level cap by the level of the item you combine.

So if Ash has a level cap of 100, and you combine a Lv50 Stone Dagger into him, it raises his cap to 150.
