which do you think is the best. Personally I like Symphony of the Night the most. I haven't played Lament of Innocence yet, but I've heard it's really good. I doubt it'll beat SOTN though.

I would pick somewhere in between Aria Of Sorrow, Harmony Of Dissonance, and White Night Concertoween. I havent played the other Castlevania games, execpt the Circle of The Moon

I liked Aria of sorrow. I havent played all of em, but i really liked it. Also, of course, Castlevania 2 and 4.

I Like Harmony Of Dissonance. I Heard Lament Of Innocence Is Not Really That Great....

Has Anyone Even Played Lament Of Innocence?

Zelphiel
01-22-2004, 09:52 PM
no, but I wan't to. I haven't gotten around to renting it yet.

Yeah I've played Lament of Innocence for about 2 hrs and it actually surprised me. I think they actually did the transition right this time. From what I can tell Symphony of the Night is better but I've only played Loi for 2 hrs so that's just a general idea.

Symphony of the night and castlevania IV are my favorites

Aria Of Sorrow then SotN

Lancet Jades
03-23-2004, 04:38 PM
Damn ,i really should plat SotN sometime...

Leknaat
03-23-2004, 07:23 PM
I had SotN but it was stolen from me by this guy in AZ... :animecry

Chaos Theory
03-23-2004, 07:28 PM
stolen? as in he took it from you by force? or did you lean and he never gave back?

Leknaat
03-23-2004, 07:31 PM
well he borrowed and brought it back. Then I guess he decided he liked so much that he stole it from me...

Lancet Jades
03-23-2004, 08:52 PM
There were these kids i used to be friends with. They stole like 6 of my 10 GB games...that was like 10 years ago though. >_<

Zelphiel
03-24-2004, 12:27 AM
those kids would get their asses kicked.

That's the only time that's ever happened to me. I'm so weary about loaning out games now...

Laggy
03-24-2004, 01:07 AM
lol nothings ever happend to me and i still dont loan games

Zelphiel
03-24-2004, 02:24 PM
there are only two people that I loan games to... Leknaat is one of them..

Lancet Jades
03-24-2004, 04:49 PM
Loaning games is never a good idea unless the person you're lending then to is family and/or knows that you know where they live, and could easily find then if...persuasion...was needed.

Lament of Innocence, Harmony of Dissonance, Circle of the Moon, Aria of Sorrow, yeah, I love them all.

My friend Donnis is getting me SotN, but his source is having trouble getting it.

And I've had my Everclear and Nirvana CDs stolen, so I am very very leery of people borrowing ANYTHING, be it my anime, games, or CDs. The only two people I lend stuff out to is Paul (because he lives at the end of the street and he's my best friend) and Britty.

Zelphiel
03-26-2004, 04:11 PM
have you not played SotN?

Lancet Jades
03-26-2004, 05:45 PM
I havent either, y'know >_>

Anyways, i gotta say i love em all too. And i really gotta plat SotN and LoI...

Leknaat
03-26-2004, 11:28 PM
SotN is awesome!! LoI is good too but I haven't played all of it yet..

Zelphiel
03-27-2004, 01:45 AM
I've mastered that game. I have all 202%.

Lancet Jades
03-27-2004, 01:58 AM
202%??

O.o

Zelphiel
03-27-2004, 02:45 AM
there are 2 castles.. the normal castle and the inverted castle. there is normally 200%, but there is a secret room in both castles so.... it= 202%

Lancet Jades
03-27-2004, 02:53 AM
Oh...

sounds cool

Zelphiel
03-27-2004, 03:34 AM
it is. I've played through the game at least a dozen times.

Ricdeau

The only one I can remember playing is Harmony of Dissonance, I THINK. It could have been Aria of Sorrow, but anyway, it was ****ing kickass. It had Juste in it.

Lancet Jades
03-27-2004, 08:07 AM
that was probly HoD. AoS had Julius in it.

Zelphiel
03-27-2004, 01:13 PM
I wish they'd make another one with Alucard in it... Or another one with Richter. those two are THE best out of the whole series... and they're both in SotN.

nightsavior
04-15-2004, 07:30 PM
sotn was the best for me...it was nice being alucard instead of the usaul whip wielding belmont plus the game played more like metroid so things weren't painfully linear. lament of innocence is very good...not as good as sotn...but far superior to those crappy nintendo 64 castlevanias.

Zelphiel

the thing that always bugged me about Castlevania 64 is why they took the werewolf out of it. that game would have been a lot better if they kept him in.

nightsavior
04-23-2004, 01:41 AM
yeah the werewolf would have made a cool addition. actually i had the original stragedy guide fot castlevania64 and they had design art for the werewolf and a fourth character that was a big hulking guy. i guess originally the game was going to have 4 characters to choose from. in the end sadly castlevania 64 was proably rushed..if they would have spent more time developing it maybe it would have been fun..

Zelphiel
04-23-2004, 01:57 AM
another thing that I don't get is why they left Maria and 2 familiars out of SotN. well... Maria was in it, but in the Japanese version you could play as her after getting 202%.

nightsavior
04-24-2004, 12:43 AM
yeah whenever us americans get "our" version of a japanese game we get cheated. i would have loved to play as maria...oh well perhaps someday we'll get "ultimate" castlevania where we can play as all our favorite characters..

Zelphiel
04-24-2004, 12:44 AM
well... it's really not like that anymore. sometimes we get more extras than they do.

Lancet Jades
04-24-2004, 01:08 AM
yeah, like with FF7, and um.....other....games...

nightsavior
04-24-2004, 01:34 AM
you're right vyers i guess it has gotten better than it was a few years ago. so have you played lament of innocence yet? it's a really good game.

Zelphiel
04-24-2004, 03:09 AM
nope... I haven't gotten around to that one yet. I'm working on getting 200% with Maxim in Harmony of Dissonance right now.

Ricdeau
04-24-2004, 05:38 AM
lol, my friend bought HoD in Malaysia, and on the cartridge were like 80 other slightly amusing NES copies. It cost him the equivilent of like $10 i think.

Lancet Jades
04-24-2004, 12:31 PM
Lol, i still need to play most Castlevania games... >_<

The only one's i've played are the NES/SNES ones, and Aria of Sorrow. >_<

Zelphiel
04-24-2004, 12:41 PM
I need to buy Aria of Sorrow.. it's one of the few that I don't have. I've got all of them except for Aria of Sorrow, Lament of Innocence, Bloodlines, and Dracula X. (the SNES Dracula X, which is extremely hard to find).

nightsavior
07-12-2004, 07:42 PM
well i think sotn and aria of sorrow will always be on top. dracula x for the pc was great as well, unlike the poorly remade snes version. for the nes simons quest was ok but not as good as dracula's curse. i liked bloodlines just because it was the only 2 player castlevania.

Chaos Theory
07-12-2004, 07:48 PM
SotN is my fav

AoS was good as well

Zelphiel
07-12-2004, 10:42 PM
i liked bloodlines just because it was the only 2 player castlevania.

yeah, the guy with the spear is one of my favorite vampire hunters. I can't remember his name right off....

nightsavior
07-13-2004, 05:00 AM
eric lacarte was his name i believe. don't quit me on that though.

Leknaat
07-13-2004, 05:03 AM
I think you're right Nightsavior. He is the better character in that game and he's the one I always use. I have that game but I haven't played it in a while..lol

Zelphiel
01-14-2005, 01:26 PM
I'd like to see them make a Castlevania with the son or daughter of Simon in it as the hunter.
