im 18 and played FF1 the first time when i was like..8?..maybe lol...and i have been playing RPGs every since...and til i was 11 i never played anything but rpgs and then it was only zelda and mega man lol and they are like RPGs in there own ways

that may be so. But it would also depend on when RPG existed. And back then it's not easy to buy games...right?
Since it's somewhat new to the world, a lot of people are excited about trying it. Thus it could be pricey.

not really they were released in high numbers thus the price was down, also since it was a while ago prices wernt jacked up that much and went down a lot quicker.
