Want a baby? Have sex!

London - A German couple who went to a fertility clinic after eight years of marriage have found out why they are still childless - they weren't having sex.

The University Clinic of Lubek said they had never heard of a case like it after examining the couple who went to see them last month for fertility tests.

Doctors subjected them to a series of examinations and found they were both apparently fertile, and should have had no trouble conceiving.

A clinic spokesperson said: "When we asked them how often they had had sex, they looked blank, and said: "What do you mean?".

"We are not talking retarded people here, but a couple who were brought up in a religious environment who were simply unaware, after eight years of marriage, of the physical requirements necessary to procreate." The 30-year-old wife and her 36-year-old husband are now being given sex therapy lessons while the university clinic undertakes a study to try to find out if there are more couples with a similar lack of sex education. - Ananova.com

Quel Thalas

the odds of that happening are pretty much nonexistent now lol....the only other case I ever heard of like this was on PBS when they were talking about one of HenryVIII's wives (Anne of cleves maybe.. I don't remember)Anyway, she thought that a kiss was how people procreated because she was brought up in such a strict environment.

hmm...interesting... i did not know that...anyhow...i know a few ppl that are basically locked up like that...cept they use the internet to find things out for themselves...then their comps get taken away... all i can say is...let kids be kids, and all parents should have the "talk"

also in teh article i read was they were heavily religious and that was being blamed on them not knowing that sex produces babies.

but dammit beat me to it >_<

Obviously neither of them were curious, you would think that at some point they would wonder what the stuff down there was for!!!

They were probly taught their 'equipment' was for peeing, nothing else. =/

wow...that's really...a one in a million case...lol..didn't they have sex ed when they were growing up?

Chicken Little

sex ed wasnt preached that much, i mean have you seen some old videos that they would have watched? I hardly think a guy dressed as a sperm and a guy dressed as an egg makes for a beneficial and intellectual look into sexual reprodustion. Nor is Sammy the Sperm and Eve the Egg, i mean by all assumptions they ciould be forgiven for thinking humans lay eggs to breed.

that would suck if i"it" was only for peeing

If "it" was only for peeing, then we wouldnt care, because that's all we'd know "it" was for.
