Ever had a religious experience....

like thinking you saw an angel, or heard a voice that saved you or a loved one, or something else to that effect?

i have seen a heard ghosts, and prolly more..my mom has seen alot of things and been saved like what you mean...i think all that kind of stuff can and does happen

I've never actually encountered it, but my grandmother did (before she passed away)

My grandfather had a heartattack, and so he was in the Philadelphia hospital for it. One day, my grandmother was going to see him, so she took a train to the station near the hospital, but she forgot which bulding it was (her short-term memory was already failing). She looked around, and decided to ask someone. She asked a couple of people, but they ignored her. Then, she asked a woman who was wearing clothes from the 1920s. The woman told her where the hospital was, and so my grandmother went there. Just as she reached his room, she saw there were no nurses or doctors anywhere near him, and his vital signs were failing. She ran and got a doctor just in time to save him. If she had been a minute later, he would've died, since no one was around to keep watch on him (like there should've been).

My grandmother said she knew the woman who gave her directions, but couldnt remember who it was. But, after some thinking, she remembered. She said the woman, who gave her the directions that saved my grandfather, was her mother, as she remembered her from when she was a little girl...

my great G-ma dies when she was 90 something...before she died she said her husband told her she didn’t need her oxygen anymore… her husband was dead =/ so he was telling her that it was time…

My mom was on a bus and a guy in a air-force uniform told her to get off the bus, it crashed and she says that it looked like her dad who was dead…

lol...i was getting somthing out of a closet once and i heard "whatcha doin" and i thought it was my mom or bro..but noone was home but me..i ran out of my house..this was in NC..it took me alot of time to go back in that house alone lol

One of the friends of my mom picked up a hitchhiker walking across the road one night. As they were driving around, the hitchhiker kept asking my mom's friend religious questions and whatnot, asking if she was saved. She said no, but she was thinking of doing it soon. The man then said that his name was Elijah, and then she said that she looked out the window, and when she looked at him again, he was gone. She was terrified by the whole thing, so I'm sure that it was real.

Besides, if you have to really on religious experience to believe in God anyway, that's defragmenting the whole thing, as faith is the big picture.

i had a few experiences that come to mind. for a very brief time i lived at a group home when i first came to asheville nc. i was pretty much starting my life over and had been living on the street before hand. anyway at night before i went to bed i heard beautiful singing..it was sad but joyous at the same time and very moving. of course my first thought was it was a choir singing next door. i thought this because there was a church right next to the group home. i came to find out that church only had visitors during the day. still, determined to find a logical explaination i asked other ppl if they heard the singing. well, noone else did. to this day i think perhaps i heard angels singing. i know that sounds silly but i believe it.

another time i felt spiritual energy when i did my personal rite of initation ceromony for becoming wiccan. under the moon with the wind touching my skin i thought i heard a woman's voice and i felt that something greater was with me. to some of you i maybe confusing. afterall i'm a pagan that hears angels(or i'm insane. lol) but i do believe in god...and the godess..and the higher energy that is their purest form.

ok, here's my last story. i was close friends with this guy named shane. anyway one day he had been mistreating his girl friend so she ran out of our hang out spot in tears. anyway i was pretty mad at shane because he was being way too domineering and manipulative with her..so i went to talk some sense into him. i looked at him sitting in the chair with the oddest smile. i didn't know how i knew but looking at shane i saw he was possessed by a demon. anyway later of course i thought perhaps i was stressed and overeacted. months later shane talked to me about what he had done. he trully felt remorse and seemed more like the nice guy i once knew. at first the conversation was normal. he told me about the break up and how he had learned some things and that he was sorry for having been an ass. then he looked at me peculiarly and said "it's name is shroud." i looked at him strangely. "what do you mean man?" was my reply. "the demon you saw that night it's name is shroud he takes control sometimes..we're kinda the same but different he's like me but when looking through a darkened mirror.." grimly i nodded. i guess i didn't hold it against shane. he could have just given a name to his darker self..a self we all have within us. still thinking back about the strange glimmer in his eyes that day he had that twisted smile i wonder if it was indeed something more.

anyway there are other stories but i have exceedeeded my word limit. in response yes i believe in angels,devils,good,evil,and everything in between.

Wow...nothing like any of that has ever happend to me, but if you think about it, just about all of those have reasonable explinations, mostly just coincedence.

i don't know link. sure u can have weird experiences outside the supernatural. afterall swamp gas can look like ghosts or ufo's. lol. still i think as a species we try rationalizing too much sometimes. on occasion it helps to just accept miraculous things at face value. it keeps the inner child in you alive and to me that's important.

this happend to me the other day at church...last week i was in class and through the whole thing something was telling me to give a guy a couple sets down 20$ so after class i did and the other day the guy came to me and gave me a note ..when i got home i read the note and it said....(the guy) when i was in church and thay took up the offering god told me to give my last 1$ and that he would bless me..so later in class i gave him 20$ not cus hes some ugly bum cus hes not lol i did it cus god told me to
